you were right, 5-5 flying machine warriors.

we were 3-1 up. but ended up 3-2 first set, 2-3 2nd.

Good night played out of our possible new venue, the fox n hounds in biggin hill. Still waiting for confirmation 2moro to see if the flying machine will be reopened.

Sorry H, gonna mess your predictions...but not by much....

Seamen 4-6 Magnum Force

Given that we were shuffled up, and therefore the lowest ranked team in the division, and that our squad has been decimated, for various reasons, we should really be getting a whipping every week.

Therefore I am pleased to announce, that for the second league game on the bounce, we have taken 4 frames from a high quality team....and for the second week on the bounce, we did it the hard way.....at 4-0 and 6-1 down a big hiding looked very probable....perhaps we should rename our team the Alamo - defeat is fairly inevitable, but we'll go down fighting.....

Highlight of the night.....Magnum's captain, miq, getting 7 balled by a player he's tried very hard to sign......c'mon the lukey boy!!!

A good match played in a good spirit....looking forward to the return....

P.S. For the stat watchers....Brian Woods, looking extremely well, was spotted this evening, but not with a cue in his hand....

Well done 'H'. You got our score right, however wrong it was. Nice to play the S.A.S. finaly, great bunch but not a great result for us, could have been better.

Does anyone want to join me in starting a tiddly winks league. This Pool league is getting on my nerves, Stupid fcuking game.laughing

Havin to unscrew your cue to take shots and think about where your going to leave the white so your not up that end of the table makes playing there a joke!

How that table and positioning of its allowed in the league is a shambles rolling eyes

Cost us a few of wins last night mad

Quite right Harry - but I can think of at least 2 more frames we 'should have' won...Shockhmygod:

Quote of the night has got to be from their young player George, who said -
"I'm gutted with that result - considering how LUCKY we have been - you'd think we could have nicked a couple more frames" !!

Wasn't too impressed with Deryck Moore (Warriors Secretary). At 5-4 to us he walked over, took the card, singed a 1-0 secretary win to us, turned to me and said "it's too fuckin cold in here, i cant play like this" and walked out of the pub, without shaking a single hand.
We're all standing there in t-shirts.
Ok, the back door to the pub is near the table and people kept going in and out for a smoke, but its winter mate, get used to it.

It's not in good condition at the moment, cloth and ball wise, that's for sure.
With regards to unscrewing your cue, it's only in that one corner.
As a comparison, there's plenty worse venues in the league, PLENTY.

Funny you should mention that. The Jolly is the only pub in the league where you need a short cue AND a rest to play on the table Shock:
