Yeah it was nice to go to the Pond Q's and pick up what looks like a comfortable win (although I can assure you that it wasn't!!).

It does mean that we are undefeated against them this season, which aint bad considering they are the runaway leaders. Perhaps we can become another annoying bogey team for them?!?!?laughing

However, this match certainly wasn't an advert for Croydon Pool, and I sincerely hope that no one was brave enough (or stupid enough) to record it or watch it, and I'm sure a few were wishing they weren't even playing in it!! zzz

P.S. please bring in the 1 minute rule!!! We did start 10 minutes late but almost 3 hours is too long for ten frames!! mad

Sorry for my enforced silence . I have been on holiday and didn't have access to a computer. I was shocked to hear of our defeat. It's the first match that we've lost since February, apart from the Prop's extremely fortuitous flap against us in the Knockout Cup. I am sure that we will bounce back immediately ! I'm finding it hard to understand Teach's ramblings. By his own admission,the match was started at 8.25. My son texted me the result at 10.05. I make that 1 hour 40 minutes. Can he be deranged ? I sincerely hope that he isn't teaching our children mathematics. laughing

Agreed that the match kicked off 10 minutes late - thanks for your boys for waiting for one of our players!!

But there is no way that the match finished that early. Either your son was predicting the inevitable scorelaughing or you didn't take the time difference into account. It was certainly after 11!!

And my maths isn't too bad - I have two teaching awards that suggest otherwise!!!ner ner

Prop = 1 loss
Bloodhounds = 2 losses

However, I'd say ''Maths'' is not your strong point Pat, because it's actually your ''third'' defeat since February. You seem to have forgotten the 6-0 Knockout Cup Plate spanking against us...dancing

For the benefit of Pat and those who log on. Kindly note those 3 defeats since February have come against 1st Division Winter opposition. The same opposition Pat (bless him) believes his team is worthy to rub shoulders with......roll on next Winter eh Pat! roll on the floor laughing

Alex,I would normally make allowances for people like yourself with pea-sized brains,but I feel that I must respond to your latest post. Our first match against the Bloodhounds finished as a draw. I don't think that counts as a defeat,even in the twilight world that you would appear to inhabit !! I obviously chose not to include the walkover win that we gave you in the plate,as that would have to count as a Fantasy pool result which would never have happened in the real world !! I do share your excitement at the approach of the forthcoming winter league ! Are you entering a team ? It seems like only yesterday that you were contemplating folding !! It must be really exciting for you all !! Lazarus has got nothing on your mob !! laughing fishing for a bite
