We won 8-2 in the first League Cup game.
It'll come good....Trust me
Is Chapman playing for you?
He has signed, but hasn't played a game yet

You certainly did! Most impressed by Luke H. who won 2/2 with some superb potting.
Good luck in the Plate

Apparantly the Eagles won 6-3 against Elmer Cue Masters, who by all accounts are a more than capable side.

Not wishing to insult you guys on a great win, but I need to ask did the Hot Shots have a full team, personnel wise. If so great win, unbelievable really if I am honest.
The k/o has always been the opportunity for the 'smaller' sides to annoy the big guns, but I thought shocks would be few and far between given the extended format this year.
In any event well done.
Well Halligan won 1 out of his 2 frames, Rod lost both of his. Steve had a good night and won both of his frames.
Sorry but I dont know everyones names that well. They only had 5 players, but with Rod and Sean playing twice it was always going to be a very tough match for us.
We lost the first through a silly mistake but then led 1-2, then we both took 1 each to go in at half time 3-2 down. We won the first 2 in the second set beating Sean and Rod. It then went to 4-4 and we took the final 2 frames with some very cool focussed pool.
They were not at the races, but we all know you still have to take your chances and we definitely did. |

All of a sudden, it makes our 4 nil drumming last season by the Goodfella's not look that too bad a result..... |

They were really up for winning last night as they played their strongest 5 in the 1st set and i believe 4 of them in the 2nd set.
You must have noticed Scorchio, that our 'strongest' five didn't even bother to show up last night!
Great win by the Goodfella's.
I have to disagree there Power!
I think you find you must of had your strongest 5 their last night as we bashed you up in the final with all your 'super 5' apparently missing last night!

Hotshots were:
Chris Snyman
Mark Eldridge
Steve Krishnan
Rod Altes
Sean Halligan
We know all are very good players so we are chuffed at this result !!! |

Ok Scorchio, I'll be honest with you now. We really stayed away to make certain you had another opportunity of winning the 'B' Final....

Just to clarify Scorchio, last nite i was stand in (and still undefeated) captain as neither truey or alex could play. I would say that truey would be in our strongest 5 and would normally play twice, and i also played keith as we are trying to bring Farron on in the Alex ferguson slowly slowly method lol
In the plate final alex played everyone as we felt they had all played their part in getting us their but that cost us in the end.
Not sure we would swap the ko plate final for a 1st round ko cup win but we needed the result as it could have affected the rest of our season losing twice to you lot 3 weeks apart. lets hope we can push on and have a good run at it.
i am surprised there isnt some form of seeding in the ko cup like the fa cup, 2 of the best 10 or so teams shouldnt really be meeting in the first round.
and yes it was a nice double but what about my swerve round the black in the first game to setup the win lol

we are trying to build his confidence gradually in the hope that he becomes a first team regular. He understands that its all about the team and that he will get his chances. He should be playing tonight so he has another chance to show us he can perform under pressure.
he has had a number of offers to play for other teams but the allure of playing for the mighty eden is too strong. |

Scorchio, we haven't got where we have these past years by not being ruthless in the transfer market. But trying to unsettle Farron in our own back yard on Monday night really lacks style.
As for Farron, its great so many teams are interested in him. So they should be, he has the talent but needs some tweaking and fine tuning.
I'll make him a star. He just can't see it yet. |

fair result, needed some composed finishes to win though
Cheers lads
Fair result???
We had 4 finishes on the blacks which were missed!
I have to agree... 4 clear cut chances to win 4 games (me missing 2 of them)... It would have reversed the scoreline... another day and it could easily have been 5-0 after the first half and that would have been a fair result!
However, credit due as we were punished as pointed out by sailor for not taking those chances...
Good luck in the next round...
Sorry but if you miss 4 clear cut chances how can that be unfair? It's not as if your opponent has played well and not given you an opportunity.
I couldn't agree more Sass - It's no good getting to the black and missing it!
It would seem that my young team mates need some killer instinct instilled in them!
There was only one frame last night where we could do nothing, that was when 'Thrush' broke and dished me!
Thats harsh. You must be still hurting from that secretarys game last season. It was still sweet to leave you with seven balls on the table. Better luck next time sucker.
