Bloodhounds 6 - 4 Legion

Another close tussle between the two teams, but Scottie kept his nerve again at 5-4 to clinch the match - a repeat of our knockout cup game from a couple of weeks ago.

A great response to our drubbing at the Patriots last week!

Farley Eden 8 - 2 Cuemasters

Thats what you get for playing ex Coney players in your team! Only joking. A good match as usual with us taking out the finishes when needed.

A good bounce back from a couple of poor league performances.

Eagles 7 Pondlife 3

Could have been any score. Pondlife had chances in all fames, quite easily could have been 10-0 either way. Not a great deal of clinical pool happening but we probably had the edge on not allowing the Pond two chances in a frame to win.

Prop 7 Jolly 3 also as I understand it.

Not taking anything away from the Eden but we were shocking last night, every one of us. There were no quick games and the match ended at about 11.30. One for us to forget about.

We spoke before the match of not loosing control of the table from our 1st visit which we have done too often in the last two weeks. I thought we were excellent in that department last night.

As Longshanks said there was not one open frame in the 10 games, which against a team like the Cuemasters who love to pot, last night suited us more. I felt we kept control of most the frames and then took our chances out when needed.

Cuemasters surprised me, as they didn't show any of the confidence that has had the Prop & Eagles on the verge of defeat this season.

We've all been on the receiving end of 'just one of those nights', and it was the Cuemasters turn last night....

Good to see ex-Coney boy Luke 'Mavis' Davis last night. Whom we have voted as officially the second nicest member of the Davis household. winking

Credit to my team, it was a monster performance.

agree with Phil - the games were long & sllightly disjointed but that suits us more than them, but that said i have never seen a cuemasters team cue so badly (Not a dig just a massive surprise) but as ever a good night & a return to winning ways which was needed......
just wish berty was around to play as we may have had 10 fishing for a bite
HOW LONG LEFT ?

well done to the eden last night who thoroughly deserved their win! not the greatest of matches to play in and for some reason didnt seem to be much spark from either team ! but that said without a doubt the better team won on the night. i agree with truey it really was a shocking performance by us and thats taking nothing away what so ever from the eden lads! we was all pants last night and will all be hugely dissapointed with our performances especially after positive performances against the prop, eagles, and the unpredictables! once again tho lads well played last night its always a pleasure to play against the edenites in the best pool theatre in the league! see you all in 2009.

Yeah, credit to the Eden last night. They came with a game plan and got it spot on. We were dreadful and barely took any of our chances but at the same time the Eden played strong percentage pool with spot on shot selection throughout. It was almost like watching a Coney performance ha ha!

Good to see the Eden boys last night and I guarantee we will make it a better contest for the return fixture.
