Patriots 8 - 2 Bloodhounds
This looks like an absolute thrashing but we were unlucky to be 4-1 down at the break, and things didn't really improve in the second set.
Two excellent dishes from Jacko, but I was pleased to beat him in the secretary's!!
Well done to the Potterman who won both his games again!! Now let's see some of this form on Thursday, mate!! Maybe you're waiting to play me to get your first win! |

Cuemasters 5-5 Propeller
Some pretty good pool on both sides, about half the games were decided by one mistake. We were 4-1 and 5-3 up so a bit disappointed with 5-5 but we would have taken that before the start.
Thanks again to Matt Palmer for pitching up for us, he won his first game to make it all worthwhile. |

Spot on Truman.
We had a terrible start going 5-1 down. We only got the momentum going from that point and made it 5-3 and then had chances to pull out a draw. London have had a good start so don't want to take anything away from what was a solid effort from them. We'll have to be mentally stronger next week against the Cuemasters. |

Cheers Shanks and yes I would say 5-5 was a fair result all be it a little disappointing after being ahead the whole match.
Happy to help out on games where you are short although with players like Dave (I think it was Dave) coming in to form you won't be needing me, he is class.
by the way I heard none of you call Luke by his real name. If I leave you with one thing this season it should be that you all call him that.
Good luck

Not again. . . . .
Jolly, was it the same guy that didn't shake our hand at the league match?
I let it slide at the time, gave him the benefit of the doubt thinking it was a one off, but if he's at it every other week, then needs to be addressed, as he'll only tarnish all your side with a bad name.
No time for them Shinnanigans. . .
Meanwhile, back at the ranch. . .
Legion 2 - Eagles 8
We put last weeks wobbles behind us, played some fairly solid stuff, with some nice dishes.
Legion will feel hard done by, Brooker was excellent and should have had 2 to his name, Deegan also unlucky not to get 2.
Which reminds me. . .
Brooker, I think i filled the card out wrong. . . Crediting Steve's frame in the first half to you instead.
If someone caught it in time, no bother, if not, I'll let Deutch know. |

Shame, we'll have to save our greeting to you of 'Are you the Coney in disguise?' until the return fixture.... |

Definitely! The rest of the team are freindly enough, sit with each other and have a laugh. This guy stands on his own by the inside doorway with a face like he's sucking on a particularly spicy wasp.. you can't even nod your head at him without him glaring at you! I'm afraid to walk past him to go to the toilet for fear of being elbowed if I get too close.
I have first hand experience of the fact that shyness is often mistaken for discourtesy and it may be that he has a problem in that area. But when all his teammates come forward to shake hands after the match and I see him literally slink behind a post and hide, I can't help but wonder if its personal. A few seasons ago at the Farley I was supporting the Dukes as they played the Jolly and I may have been a little vocal after a good shot from one of the Dukes. This same guy came up to me and with a few words left me visibly shaken. Didn't come accross as shy at all! |

He was fairly pleasant when we played them a couple of weeks ago! Maybe he was in fear of us. Remember that our team behaves like a 'pack of dogs' (quote the Pondlife, never more!). |
