Bloodhounds 6 - 4 Jolly

I can promise you that this is not a typing error - we really did win our first league game of the season.
A super battling performance by us, it's good to be back on our home table!! Well played lads!! dancing

Farley Eden 3-7 the prop

3 one visit frames from the prop was enough to win in a game I feel we deserved a draw. Good performances from the sting and truey and my self unlucky to alex barry Scott who didn't even get a shot but just shows how strong the prop are ready to bounce back against the s.a.s next week and the magnum force

well done Bloodhounds last night . . . majority of frames could have gone either way though, prob my frame in last was the only one that took one visit

but, we were absolutely swear

2 good clearances all night by us, not good enough in any division, let alone the 1st Divison

At 2-2, we blinked, and then was 6-2 down.

Prop remain our bogey side for sure though I also felt we were worth a draw last night, but if you don't take your chances you lose.

It was like the Gunfight at the OK Corral last night at Rileys.

Numerous inner team tantrums were on display. Pen throwing seems to be a new trend. The Patriots Four turned up (eventually) looking like they wanted to be elsewhere (just like their AWOL team mates). And what about those Goodfella's, was it their customary slow play? Surely it wasn't their silly spotted ball that pushed their opponents over the edge? And to rap up the evening, it was evident to see the Ego's weekend team bonding session in Yarmouth - just hadn't worked out.... :box:

Bit disappointing to only get a draw as we were always going two ahead and getting pegged back, but on the whole it was probably a fair result. Francois broke and dished at 3-5.

very enjoyable match last night which as both phil and chris stated a draw was probably a fair result with quite a few frames going one way or another! dissapointed with missing the last ball down the rail which would have secured a win but full credit to mick for producing one of his trademark get outta jail card shots!. good play from fran and shanks last night also.

Hot shots 6 - 4 Legion

We probably deserved to win last night. Clive went in off the black kissing one of his opponents balls & i missed a simple 2 ball clearence with 2 shots.

Still, not a terrible result away to the Hot Shots
I would rather be playing golf

Gap between top and bottom already immense after only 4 weeks, and there were some people that wanted bonus points aswell!!!!

You'd have people getting relegated at the half way point!

I was referring to the unruly and what turned out to be quite embarrasing disruption caused by two of your players during the closing stages of my doubles match....

Nothing to do with our match, but would like to congratulate Peter the Rocket, who broke a glass near our table, and promptly went on to clean it up. First time I have EVER seen him break and clear upband playingShockne:

I don't need to stir it up Shaggy. The signs have been evident for the innocent onlooker for a while. You lose your best two players and are clearly a team struggling to find a new number 1 & 2. Inner battling for that right is obvious to see.

Now this.

Defending league champions fighting their own. If you want clarity on the definition of shocker. You now have it.

I am sure Sir Tony Nuttman, will deal with it. I expect nothing less from the most successful captain this league has ever had.

But do not expect those teams who at the end of the day on the table are your enemies, to not join in your embarrasment in what has just past. embarassed

it was a bit off putting watching too alledged friendly eagles sumo wrestle each other whilst we were trying to play our doubles match.

2 near punch ups on the same night goes to show that rileys is just not a good venue with too many people, too many matches too close together and too many beers being drunk by lightweights!

ps when are the winter stats being updated?
