Lloyd Barnes
Martyn Drinkwater (Winners)
2
vs
1
Alan Mehmet
Jan Zalewski
Enjoyed this match, was swinging more then a pack of monkeys in the jungle. Reminded me of the Arsenal vs Man U game... just pure open pool.
Still good evening and good fun, wish Lloyd and Martyn all the best and hope they progress well in later rounds.

If Carlsberg made pool players they would play like me.

I like the Scotch format but then Billy and I have similar playing styles so it suits us well, as we tend to go for the same shots anyway. Ok, maybe it's just a shared brain-cell but it's been ok so far.
I know people have said it on here before but it does prevent the whole puppet-master thing, although I must admit I've never played any doubles pairing who've been like that, I can see the logic in the comment.
The only scary bit of Scotch Doubles I see is when your partner breaks and pots, then has to nominate for the shot you then have to take. Having said that, we've been ok up to now but I can see other pairings with differing playing styles potentially coming unstuck with that one. |

Love it. I'm playing with your partner anyway so what's your problem?! |

Yes maybe you should be allowed to confer before choosing which colour after potting a ball off the break. |
