nice win for the eden there!

folly 5-5 flying machine

we were 5-2 down so was nice to get the draw.

nice pub, great bunch of guys, really good laugh.
but the table? worst we've played on in a long time. slow, outrageous rolls, dead cushions. one game had 3 re-racks in a row.
but good night overall.

we were looking at the fixtures for the league cup, looks like everyone has 3 home games, 3 away games and 1 BYE. Apart from us who have 4 away games and 2 home, and the SAS who have 4 home games 2 away. we thought its a bit unfair. and coz of that we have the SAS away on the 21st, league cup, then week after SAS away in the league. surely if we had them at home if would be 3 H, 3 A for all teams in the group.
Is it just luck of the draw for the group fixtures or could it be a error?
either way we'll just have to beat them 2 weeks in a row, home or away winkgrin

It seems a bit strange. Maybe worth verifying with Mark H.

That's not a sad result last night at the Folly especially from 5-2 down. We played them down there in the summer and were 4-3 down and reeled off the last 3. Certainly a tough venue to visit & get a result.

As i have don't seem to be doing much work I've had a quick look at the groups with BYEs in...

Group 2.
Waddon Wizards & Stelfs have 4 home and 2 away games.
C+H & View 2 B killed have 4 away and 2 home games.
All others have 3 of each.

Group 4.
Flying machine & Wickham wanderers have 4 away, 2 home.
SAS & Folly have 4 home, 2 away.

Group 6.
Goodfellas & Forum A have 4 home, 2 away.
Magnum & young guns have 4 away, 2 home.

Group 8.
Everyone has 3 each.

Looks like its not a mistake and is constant throughout the groups. Im actually not bothered as id prefer to play on a rileys table than ours. But some people might look at it as an unfair advantage. Surely if there's an even number of games in a group it would make sense to play half home, half away.

Annnyway, yeah last night was tough to get the draw, but somehow pulled it off.

The match itself wasn't a very late finish, probably half 10, But we ended up being asked to leave by the bar staff as there was no one left in the pub and they wanted to lock up. whoops laughing

The Wickham Wanderers are to be withdrawn from this competition due to their no show against Farley Eden last night. They will be converted to a natural BYE with 10-0 wins being recorded for all teams.

Wahay!

And i actually thought you had beaten them 10-0......

Warriors starting just as strong as they finished in the summer beating the SAS 9-1, away at rileys. Looks like they'll be favorites for top spot if they can keep it up.
