BeachTree 7 - 3 The Ship

Nice way to finish our summer league (as the Reform have dropped out) against a great bunch from the Ship.

Good result for the Farley Eden and I can see them racking up a big score against the Chopper Squad next week. As good as the Waddon Wizards were against us last week expect the Big Spuds to win comfortably. Eden to win the league by 4 in the end..

A well deserved win for the Eden, special mention to Alex and Arthur who were ultra clinical in the middle order to bring home 4 frames and ultimately change the course of the game. @ 3-0 up we were flying.......no

Thanks Jamie, though it was a strange result in the end. You came at us from the off and at 3 zip down we're thinking of just snatching a draw. We got some momentum going and showed plenty of character to reel off the next 7 frames. Keith & Pedro with a combined age of 138 years have been brilliant the last few weeks when called in difficult circumstances at the back of the order, and Arthur showed some real quality with his 2nd win of the night.

I just mirror Sting's comments on another thread and hope the Chopper Squad show up because you play 17 matches to this point and the season means nothing if a team no show. Though, Waddon away is a tough one to finish with....winkgrin

Great atmosphere at the Farley last night with 5 of the 6 sides present being from the Farley stable. Good result for the Small Spuds and now they just have to keep their heads and deliver the killing blow next week. Two tables away, it was a monster win for the Farley Dukes against the Loyalist's. I told the Loyalists boys before the off that Mark Bannister loves nothing more than the smell of a local derby. 8-2, they must believe me now...

Cheers Jamie I think most of the eden team thought we were on an hiding to nothing when u took the first 3 frames.
Your players capitalised on all our earlier mistakes and rightly punished the culprits involved.
It was a fantastic evening with some very good pool from bothsides.
good luck 4 next week at the waddon fortress not an easy venue these days as they are quite capable of an upset on home soil.
