So does anyone have any 'helpful' advice on how to play Altes?
I played him in the last game of the winter season and missed a straight black to beat him. That win for him also meant that he tied the divisional singles with Evans and Lansing.
I suppose the best advice would be not to miss straight blacks!!! |

Tonight sees the 5th Round of the League's flagship event . . It's getting to the business end of proceedings with the winners playing Best of 5's in the next round knowing they're only three wins away from taking the spoils . .
Who do you think will be left standing come October?
My outside tip for the top is Gary Swettenham . . Already through to the Quarters with an early win against Rob Gater, he's full of confidence and capable of it on current form . .
. . Previous Singles winners in the form of Rod Altes and Ian Chapman will obviously looking to make sure that doesn't happen and expect Chris Brooker to feature at the latter stages . .

It always has been and always will be
You don't often hear people referred to by the amount of times they've won the doubles . .
