Farley Small Potatoes 8 - 2 The View

A great result for the Spuds tonight from being 2-1 down. A couple of frames could of gone either way and there has to have been a record set tonight for the number of shots taken on the black in the 5th frame!!!! Sorry guys but I couldn't find a pocket I liked! laughing

Anyway, once again The View were a great bunch of lads and we wish them all the best for the rest of the season.

The Spuds seem to be hogging this part of the forum each week Smile Anyway,
Wickham Wanderers 5-5 Penge Conmen

Overall I think it was a fair result. Holidays affected the game as both teams struggled to get a team of 5. I had to miss my anniversary date to make up the numbers. Sad

Hopefully we can put up a better display aginst the Farley Samll Fry Smile , I mean Potatoe, next week.

Wot can I say? Seems it's only you and I that post our results up in Div 6, unlike in the other divisions. Pretty frustrating sometimes when we have an interest in how the other teams in our div are doing.

We may be small fry but we're Spuds through and through and we're looking forward to meeting you at ours next week

How is this league fair???

The farley play the Royston club last week........the first game of the second 1/2 of the league and win 6-4. The Young Guns turn up for their game, food all done and paid for....... to get a phone call from the Royston to say they cant get a team together so claim a Walk over win and rightfully expect a 10-0 win.............then find they have only been awarded a 5-0 win cause The Royston have been withdrawn from the league............how is that a fair playing field .............and dont give me the old excuse its an average of results cause it aint the Football pool panel ..........if they had got a team together The Young Guns could still have got and expected to have got more than 5 points ..............the Farley should be deducted 1 point and the rest of the teams due to play the Royston should all get a 5-0 win now thats a fair playing field. The rest of the Teams that are to play the The Royston also know they now have a bye and save money on food and Transport and can plan their evening how ever they want .............sort it out!!!!!!!!

We obviously can't force people to use the forum, although teh league can, but I will ceratinly canvas more teams to do it going forward in to the winter league.

We shall do the same. It seems a shame that the other divisions are well reported on the site, with many of the teams posting up their results, whereas div 6 seems limited to about 2 teams posting.

Lets hope there will be more response in the winter
