I Would like to thank everyone that gave up their Sunday to play at The Thomas Farley Fun....d Raising Mini Comp.
We Raised ?315! More Than I could have hoped for, very happy to thank you all.

The Main Comp was won by a unshaven Gary Swettenham, who in the first round drew Paul Saxton. Who would have thought it was gonna be tactical! Gary cornered one of Paul's balls over a pocket, & that was that for about 20mins. God knows how much Paul parted with into the 'Sin-Bucket'. At one point in the game Gary asks Paul "how much money you got left?" Great sportmanship Paul, you're a star. Thank you.

The Plate comp was won by Andrew Waters, who beat Graham Thompson 2-1. Graham broke-dished in the first frame and thought he had won it! "Graham...sorry mate, its best of 3!"

Both Gary & Andrew only accepted half of their winnings, putting the other half towards the kitty. Thank you guys, superstars.

Our very own 'Superstar' Charles 'Chaslington' Burrows won the 'Killer' comp, with 3 lives still intact! Hero.

Good Sportsman of the day for me without a doubt was Luke Willsher. He drew Landlady Bettie in the second round and every time he potted a ball got boooed & hissed at! Bettie on the other hand moved the que-ball around like a pro...not always with the cue though! Ref saw nothing out of the ordinary of course! Luke...great sport, i salute you.

So the sums then:- Entry Fees ?155, Sin-Bucket rounded up by myself to ?60, The Thomas Farley Donation ?100 (thanks Dave & Bettie). Grand total ?315.

Bouncey Castle ?173 (this includes generator & outside event insurance), Winners Prizes ?85, less ?30 retruned by messers Swettenham & Waters (Thanks guys), which leaves if my maths are correct a cheque of ?87 for Cancer Reasearch. Event Organisers 'Chips' on the way home! ?1!

There you have it, Great success, Great fun, and a little good as well, all in a days work. There is already talk of another event nearer Xmas. I will keep you posted on that.

Regards

Paul, round up that cheque for Cancer Research up to one hundred quid as I'll donate the other 13 quid towards it. I couldn't make it down but I'm pleased to hear it was a successful day. PM me to let me know how I can get the money to you.

Really pleased to hear it went well. Sorry I couldn't make it down but my Mum's 60th Birthday Bash had to come first.

Well done to all concerned.

Very good review Paul, thanks!

I have submitted your review as an article so that it can be put on the main page

We would appreciate it if this could be done after events so that everyone gets to see how an event went on the main screen
