Slates 6 - 4 Lock Stock

Apart from no proper beer and spending god knows how much on cabs the evening was peachy.

Slates - is that the place that's kinda like a youth club with the strong smell of puff wafting across the table every now & again?

And the twelve years olds floating past when you're down on a shot can be a tad off-putting . . .

We love the place so much its the 2nd time we've not played the secretaries game and waited in the pub down the road for the cab to turn up.

Don't get me wrong the slates are a good bunch of lads but the venue is a dump.

There used to be a rottweiler running round the place too.

I am finding it hard to control my excitement at the prospect of visiting the Brockley sports and leisure complex in just two weeks time. To avoid hassle with transport,we are contemplating booking in to a five-star hotel in the immediate locality. If anybody knows of such an establishment, perhaps they would be kind enough to let me have the contact details !! In the meantime we had to visit the Forum club in Forestdale. Now,don't get me wrong,it is a very nice club built in the 70's or 80's. They made a fatal error when they decided to instal a second-hand pool table which must have been knocked-up by the Hitler Youth !! In ten games, just one ball was potted off the break. The cushions are dead and I swear that some of the balls aren't even round !! We eventually finished at about 11.40 !! I do love these ten game matches !! The final score was 5-5 so,in my opinion the whole evening was a complets waste of time and space !! wall

The 9th frame was probably finished by 9.15, but you made the fatal error of playing Garry Rawlings last . . .

Yeah I'm really upset that I missed that game, I was so looking forward to paying 4 quid for a 200ml bottle of Grolsch (pronounced:sickSmile

At least their friendly bar staff make up for it though...

Anyway about that petrol money...

SAS 3 - 7 Bloodhounds

A solid performance although it should have been more comprehensive as we were 6-0 up! It's good to get the confidence flowing again though!! applause
