MAGNUM FORCE 3-4 THE WARBANK
The Warbank to get promotion finishing 4th with the coney dropping out of the league. A bad second half of the season cost them a chance of silverware.
POND Qs 5-2 COACH AND HORSES
A great second half of the season has given them promotion. They even have a team manager. The coach have some good individuals and a couple more good players could make the diffirence for them in the future.
BRITISH LEGION 3-4 THE ADDICTS
The legion have been the most consistant team and deserve to win the league. We have had a good season with our improving team and need a couple of points tonight to finish second.
PAWLEYNE ARMS 5-2 MAPLE TREE
I thought the pawleyne might of had a chance at the start of the season but they were not strong enough. The maple have had a bad seoson and will finish bottom.
THE MAONOR 3-4 FARLEY DUKES
Some good results from the dukes recently will give them the edge tonight.
FLYING MACHINE 4-3 SLATES SNOOKER
It could go either way tonight but I fancy the flying machine to win tonight.

Don't bank on 4th place being good enough for promotion ! A new team might be created which could fulfil the criteria for automatic acceptance into the 1st division ! If the summer five a side trial is deemed successful,it might be extended to the winter league !! Even the Eden may have to suspend recruitment !!  |

flying machine 2 - 5 slates.
game played in good spirits as both teams didnt have much to play for really.
found out last night that in the summer we've been moved down to Div 3.
Bit annoying the fact we had a play off last season to stay in Div 2 and we won.
Why our secretary didnt really explain, but does anyone know why we've been shuffled down?

Pond Q's 5 Coach & Horses 2 Another scintillating evening of power pool against a very nice group of people. I see that the Addicts held on to 2nd place by the skin of their teeth.Very well done to them and also to the Legion for winning the division !! I had to admonish the Eagles for their vociferous celebrations on securing the frame that won them the 1st division. I thought that the Eden luvvies must have turned up by mistake. They were understandably very relieved to stumble over the finshing line,having lost the first two games !! They did however have to be reminded that there were equally important games taking place involving us,the Imperials and of course Suzy's Floozies !! Following this isolated outburst,their behaviour for the remainder of the evening was exemplary !! |

That is seriously out of order that the flying machine has been shuffled down to 3 after winning the playoff last term. Its like winning promotion only to be told you cant go up

Warbank 3 - M.Force 4
We did not want 4th place!  To go up to div1 in 4th spot if the rumours are true just is not right!
However to finish in 5th spot with the team we have just is not right. 2nd spot was the minimum i thought we would get this season.
I cannot count the number of times we were 3-1 up this season to lose 4-3 is amazing...

All fixture lists and card printing has already been done due to family committments for the next couple of weekends and The Oak entered into the League right at the death. It was a case of do I not accept their registration or just tinkle with Div.5 & 6 fixtures to allow entry (the latter being the course taken). I do not have the time to revamp all other divisions and re-print the result cards to furbish them at the stated time. |
