Why have we got a minimum three week break between the end of the winter league and the start of the summer league ? For many teams with a bye in the first week in the summer, the break will be four weeks ! Surely it would make more sense to have the break in the middle of the winter league programme when the weather is far less clement ! Can't we give consideration to starting the summer league earlier. If that's not immediately feasible, could it please be considered for next year ? wall

no leave it as it is i personally would prefer to leave it how it stands, will be nice to have a few tuesdays off so when the new summer season starts you feel a bit more focused and ready to go.

I don't mind either way but I'd like to our team to play at least one friendly match between seasons. If anyone fancies getting spank by a bunch of girls please let me know.

point and laughEagles need not apply!

Mark,to all intents and purposes, it is an unwanted break !! The whole league is suspended so that a few cup games can be played. The league cup becomes a Monday competition in the group stages. Why revert back to Tuesdays just for a few games ? zzzwrong

I welcome the break for the reasons Shark's already mentioned.

It's a new season, (a) a break from the league for a couple of weeks will be nice. (Cool It will feel like I haven't stopped playing the first league if there was no break.

3/4 weeks is a nice time imo.

Pat, treat the break as a chance to sit back and reflect on Arsenal's success this year without the distraction of pool...

... Oh I see, fair point.

I will have to sit and ponder on another wonderful season for my beloved Arsenal. Having sat through that joke match on Saturday between the two great pretenders,I look forward to watching the game tonight as it should be played. We will not lower our standards to the poor level achieved by others who are owned by foreign crooks whose only interest is in making a fast buck !! Arsenal have standards which will never be surpassed !! The only team in the Football League who have never been relegated !! applause

Arsena have NEVER been relegated !! I was at that game in 1912 and we won that as well !! I think that you're probably getting us mixed up with Charlton who have been relegated 127 times in their history !! laughing

You've only been allowed into football matches because they've become all-seater !! I would have hated to have stood behind you on the terraces !! I'd have asked for my money back !! mad

What you got confused with Pat is that Arsenal were not promoted to their current top flight status. They came 5th in Div 2 before the war and paid off the FA so that they could be in Div 1 when it reformed after the war. Nothing changes.
