The Seamen 5-2 Duke of Gloucester
A game much closer than the scoreline suggests....DoG not helped by some of their players breaking down en-route, leaving them with only 4 on the night....they certainly had the best of the first four, and we were lucky to get two of them....pick again was a break followed by a dish....
Unlucky guys.... |

Frame 2 was a joke I snookered juggling spence he missed then i thought is was a foul snooker i asked both refs they said it wasn't a foul snooker so i carried on and hit the black gave him two shots and he cleared up what i should of done was asked both secretarys because they both thought it was a foul snooker but nevermind
no wonder why they call him juggling spence i know now
Frame one : close encounter
Frame Two : as above
Frame Three: we won
Frame Four: Good finish by Steve R
Frame Five ; close encounter but reliable Paul Picton came thru
Frame Six: we had chances to win it
Frame Seven: we won

If both refs agree then that's conclusive chaos to be honest, no point looking back. I can't see how a secretary has any right to have an impact on the outcome at all unless they are reffing.

Secretaries can have an impact on decisions, but only if the Ref's can't agree. In this case there is no need as the Ref's were in agreement. Therefor the decision is right.

The Goodies 3-4 Imperials.
Bad night for us. Should have been at least 5-2 but we couldn't finish. A pissed No' 7 shouting at our player to hurry up while he was on a shot didn't help much either.

Firstly if the referees agree then thats that.
Secondly, assuming it was close to being a foul snooker, you must have been able to see your colour full ball. Why therefore did you hit the black.....
Obviously it depends on the table position but was there no way you could aactually use two shots on your object ball...

193's 4 v 3 The Ship
A game that could have gone either way, played in good spirits with good banter throughout.
Well played the 193's

Just to clarify, it looked to be a foul snooker from where I was standing but when I'm playing I never look at snookers for too long as it is the refs job to decide.
There were a couple decisions that my way in that frame (and a few shots where luck got up and left altogether). One thing that we both agreed on was that we are both better players than our displays last night showed.
Good luck for the rest of the season to the Royal Oak. |
