Waddon Wizzards 4 - 3 The Better Halfs
Difficult one to call but Waddon to shade it having home advantage. Both teams still looking for one of the promotion places but looking increasingly unlikely given the form of the teams above them.

Thicket Tavern 2 - 5 Langley Sports
Langley will be up for this one. Capable side on their day and given that The Folly have an extremely difficult match away to The Elmer Cue Masters it could be an opportunity to close the gap on them and maybe even take over 3rd place.

Elmer Cue Masters 6 - 1 The Folly
Elmer lads are certainly showing their worth at the moment and i expect them to get another resounding win this evening. However, The Folly will be looking to stay in the promotion places and may provide a surprise.

Goodfellas 7 - 0 Ruskin House Club
We'll be looking for a big win here to try and keep the pressure on The Cue Masters. 21 points from Ruskin House all season shows they are well out of their depth, even in Division 4.

Chopper Squad 4 - 3 The Goat Specials
Chopper Squad will edge this one. The Goat Specials still have it all to play for to avoid relegation although they now need other results to go their way.

Forum B 3 - 4 The Elmer Lodgers
Elmer Lodgers to get the away win and pull themselves away slightly from the relegation zone. They have some decent players and if they hold their nerve for the remainder of the season they should stay up.

Well not quite the 6-1 billy predicted. At 4-1 down you did well to recover to losing 4-3 in spite of two miscues. The lambs to the slaughter I think were arned with machetes and machine guns.

You played with a great friendly spiirit though and we applaud that.applause

The Goodfellas whilst not the most entertaining bunch(terrible venue) probably are the best team. Sorry Cue Masters but I think thy are just that bit better.

Anyway lets get back to the real world where people are actually making sense.

Goodfellas avoided any potential bannana skins by beating Ruskin House 7-0. The return of Billy and Krish saw the team back to full strength for the first time in over a month, and boy was it good to have them back.

With key players returning at such a crucial stage of the season, the remainding few weeks are looking promising.

Well played The Folly, excellent result. Going on recent form though i dont think anybody would have predicted against The Cuemasters. I did put a caveat in my prediction that there might be a surprise here which indeed turned out to be the case.

Im sure though that this will be just a blip for the Cuemasters and that they will come back with a heavy win away to Langley Sports next week. Not sure at this stage how Langley got on last night but they may well still be very much in the hunt for one of the promotion places so perhaps another surprise in the offing.

We won 4 -3 against the Thicket meaning that we've made up no ground at all on the Folly after their very good win at the Cuemasters. That leaves us probably needing wins in all 3 of our remaining games to get 3rd spot, although the likelihood appears to be that we'll be shuffled up following the demise of the Drillers and the strong possibility of other teams folding at the end of the season.

We'll do our best cue_ball, but I suspect they might be up for the match. We may have overdone the gloating a little when we won the match at the Elmer in the first half of the season.

After careful consideration of said comments and not wishing to jeopardize the great momentum they've built up this past month... The Elmer Cuemasters have decided to put last weeks blip behind them (and boy was it a blip, we didn't turn up at all - full credit to the Folly for taking advantage though, they played well).

So expect fireworks next week lads - because the Elmer boys are on a mission, and they're not going to be taking any prisoners! evil laugh

It'll be interesting to hear what the real cuemsaters think of the table after we've spent some time levelling and brushing it before the game - although comments about the random cushion behaviour are accepted.
I reckon Ted might be so keen to get a result he'll pop down himself next Tuesday afternoon.

ah and there we have it i rest my case.!.! spend time leveling it?? does this mean the table is only level for one night in a 2 week period??? all those poor souls being ripped off in the meantime by the dodgy rolling table, those hard earned pound coins wasted. evil laughevil laugh ps on our last game of the season tell the management to put on extra bar staff as the cuemasters are gonna have a piss updrunk

Jerryf needs to replace his blinkers to think that the Goodfellas are better than the Cuemasters. We are in the plate final, the quarter final of the league cup, and second in the league behind first place by ONE point. We've beaten second division teams and first along the way.

Jerryf obviously don't know what he's talking about when it comes to pool.

Shoulda gone to Specsavers laughing
