Cracking day yesterday and an awesome performance from Croydon 'A' putting them furmly back in the Interleague map beating a couple of quality sides on the way in the form of the Surrey Warriors and Godalming 'A'.

We were of course very disappointed to lose the final but after finishing last in 2007 I am sure Gary would have taken it at the start of the day and we have a lot to be proud of, especially on home turf.

Cliff (Michael Carroll) was on superb form yesterday both on and off the table and was worth his weight in gold!

Gary has a good little side at his disposal and with the players who weren't involved yesterday to come it all bodes well for a solid season.

It's unfortunate that Croydon B didn't feature much throughout the day, having lost their two group matches and being eliminated early doors . . The sad part is that we heard several shocking instances of players walking out mid-match, not supporting the team during matches including going off to play snooker etc . . Far be it from me to criticise but surely that's not what team pool is all about?
