Penge Con Boys 6-5 Langley Sports

An enjoyable night, with a nip and tuck match...honours even in the first two...a jawed black that ran across the back rail and went in put us ahead...Special mention for Ben Mcintosh in the fourth - he called a double hit on himself when no-one else saw it...top sportsmanship! He did go on to win the frame because I potted my last ball, got position on the black, but the cue somehow dropped out of my hand and hit his ball...two shots and clearance...Langley went 3-2 up at halfway after an in-off left a black over the bag.

3-3 followed unexpectedly after the black dropped out of turn, which became 4-3, then 5-3. Special mention to Tony Baker's son, Sam, who played a great game, given he is only 14, and was unlucky to lose. The boy has talent....

Tony pulled one back to make it 5-4, then I managed to atone for my earlier error to secure the match...Ben came within millimetres of a break dish, but ultimately won to make it 6-5.

A good night against a good team...I'm sure they will want to prove a point in the return fixture!!!

Rileys Snooker 6-5 Bromley Labour Club Boshers

Well a defeat but in essence a result more determined by a table with the biggest roll I've played on in years Frown I've played on bad tables, I was in Egypt last week, but they're better out there than last night's one I'm afraid

3-2 up at the break, went 4-2 but lost the next 3, won frame 10 before defeat ultimately in frame 11 cost us.

Always a pleasure playing the old London Slates guys, good luck until we meet again
