Played Danny Kellier in the singles the other day after he woz 35mins late n ad not rang me to let me no wat woz happening ,rule 29 states I could ov claimed this match after 20mins,think claiming frames n games should b avoided as it ain't right n it tarnishes anything u may achieve there after....I would like to ask Danny to extend the same curtesy to Ricky n Hughie in the doubles rather than claiming a win due to them bein on holiday....fairs fairs dan Ava word wit mr C n let's try n rectify this...if ur gona win it m8 win it the right way...I av faith in u Kellogg's  |

Hold up hold up a min.......... I did not have your number so I rang Billy who was at the venue and told him to tell u I was running late!!!!!!! Did he not give you that message???????? Sure he did and it ain't 20 mins it's till quarter to 9 and I got there at 8.40 so wot u on????? And with our doubles match not that's n e 1s bizola. But we had an arranged date that also got broken not mine n dray fault...... I understand hughie went earlier than planned. All me n dray are saying is we dont have time we play in other leagues and work what got suggested was we come out on a weekend and play it who wants to do that after working all week it's out of our way...... And to get texts saying it's cause we gonna beat ya don't help to be fair. I believe in fair play we had a date n that got put bk. Jacko serious u prob don't no the full story mate. And Billy told u I was coming late so get that right b4 u put things up.

Also u put up your thread stating fair play in the singles I asked for it to be played another day cause my misses had a operation and was in Hosp I found it very difficult to try n get sum one to watch our daughter jus to come to the match which u new and u said u ain't playing it on another day it had to be on that night so don't bang on mate about fair play Tony why Shud I do favours wen u wud not!!!!!!

When I first played pool in Croydon, I played for teach or potterman team bloodhounds. I was doing well in singles and doing back n forth to Scotland.
I got you in a singles draw and I was at home at Fox Sydenham.
I made arrangements with you to play at different date but instead I had to play at your venue in Croydon.
You don't see me moan and bitch about that.
Just shut the ******* up, you lost to a better player now cry and get over it.
Whinging about losing isn't gonna do anything, just remember its only a game and there is always next year.
Millwall don't win anything, I don't see them posting on football forums crying. |

SORRY GUYS BUT JACKO CALLED ME AFTER 8.45 AND ASKED WHAT THE RULING WAS ABOUT OPPONENTS NOT BEING THERE THEN HIS NEXT SENTENCE WAS OH THERES CHRIS WRIGHT ILL SPEAK TO HIM COS I SAID TO JACKO U DONT WANT TO CLAIM IT AND HE REPLIED NO BUT HOW LONG DO I WAIT .THATS THAT BUT U BOYS CLAIMING THE DOUBLES OFF OF OUR PLAYERS WELL I THOUGHT U WAS BETTER THAN THAT |

It is a tricky one because Mark Halsey does say not to enter singles / doubles if you are going on holiday. However, if everyone adhered to that, then there wouldn't be much of a competition each summer.
From what I know, Danny / Andre were available to play the match on the official date and on the date that had been previously agreed between both pairings.
With that in mind, I do think that the match should be played, but the new date must suit the Better Halves boys for reasons stated above.

Paul, firstly Tony has been a Secretary and run teams for many years and I know that he is advised of the rules and constitution of this league so he shouldn't have to be asking others for guidence.
I with another team mate dropped Danny to Rileys and that was at 20.35 and not as other suggest. We then went off to park the car and were in the venue at 20.45 ourselves and the match was in progress. This is neither here or there anymore and has no relevence apart from the score line.
Both Andre & Danny were approached by Ricky asking if they would be willing to play their doulbles match 6 days early at our Tuesday league match due to forthcoming holidays to which they agreed. With hindsight Danny thought Tony would be just as accomadating with him and play their singles on the same Tuesday so that he could stay home on the Monday and continue to look after his baby daughter when his missus returns and is recovering from her operation of the day. Well guess what ! He declined and may have been hoping for a walk over win himself.
As it turned out, the prearranged doubles wasn't played on the said Tuesday because of mistakes made by your team mates and now asking for postponement of 3 weeks.
Taking the aforementioned into account, I can understand why my team mates feel the way they do and I'm sure we all would. Furthermore they are within in their rights to act which ever way they choose and should not be held to account for their decision.
I will add here that whatever their agreements/disagreements are have no influence from me and are of their own making and choice and I have just acted as their Secretary by way of passing on information to all those concerned.
Upon speaking with our League Secretary at last Saturdays presentation evening, I was told that as a Secretary it is my duty to be involved with this and to resove it amicably. I spent my whole Sunday back and forwards on the phone to Mark, Ricky, Andre and Danny looking for ways to resolve this and to hopefully find a date that all would be able to make. It all fell apart and my Guys decided to take the walkover win to save them from all the aggravation attached caused by their opponents and not themselves.
There you have the facts of this scenario and I knew what was to follow and what will continue to follow whether the match is played or not.
Paul, I would wish to speak further with you on this matter but I don't have your number. Could you kindly give me a call over the weekend please. Thanks. |

U talk sum sht Steve I woz not told anything bout Danny's mrs bein Ill or him babysitting all I woz asked woz did I wana play it Tuesday down ur venue n I obviously declined simply because I new ur players would try n put me off n barrack me...I would not ov said no to him to rearrange but certainly not at ur venue with all ur lads there distracting me...to say I may ov been looking for a walk over win shows how u judge people by ur own low standards...ur bang out ov order yet again....concerning the doubles I'd like to commend Danny n dray on there gracious behaviour allowing this match to go ahead,great sportsmanship wel done guys |

We have agreed a date for our doubles,would like to thank Andre and dan for bein patient whilst myself and Hughie have a much needed break. See u on the 16th for wot should be a good match. |

It's nothing to do with jacko posting his thread me and dray are jus tired of every 1 saying basically we are cowards we no our ability and we believe we will win the comp the thing is it Shud have been left to the secretary's to sort out it clearly states in the rules not to enter comps if you are going on holiday it's never about us wanting a walk ova me and dray have always got on with mr cook and mr Telford the issue is us having to come out on another nite wen really we shud not have to. We are sick of all this drama it jus spurs on to become monsters on that green bay and not miss.

With all due respect Ricky, where have you got this info from ? It's not from me !
You and I were both together when Mark Halsey pointed out to me that it is my responsibility to deal with this matter and therefore I am dealing with it. I've spoken with Mark this afternoon and know the way it stands. I've invited Paul to contact me over this weekend and also I have to make contact with your Secretary to hopefully agree on a few things.
This hasn't happened yet and therefore I haven't reported back to Mark so basically nothings changed as of yet. That's not to say it won't but I don't wish to hear and read "HEARSAYS" from others whom assume or accept it to be an agreement and start making accusations should it not happen.
This matter has cost me a lot of my time and effort and I don't wish to go through all of this again.
So please be a little more patient and when an agreement is reached upon between all party's concerned then I will report back to Mark and it will be correctly notified.

Well he shouldn't have Ricky and I advised him of this.
The time and date was merely an option from me to him and not set in stone untill all party's concerned are contacted and agreed via their Secretaries.
I haven't spoken with Andre or Gary yet and if I'm not mistaken, I think Hughie may still be on holiday.
I tried to keep this a private affair and away from this site so there would be no other outside involvement to aggrevate matters but loe & behold, here it is.
It just makes my life a lot harder and especially when Tony speaks the way he does. It totally changes the way people think and all the progress so far.
As for stating that's it's him who's brought this back into discussion is quite laugherable. If this is the case then I can conclude that my task is complete and I will waste no more of my time.

Steve,surely if a dates been set and agreed y is there a need for secs to get involved. I have already informed swetts of this. And to be honest,the game had been claimed and if jacko hadn't of started this thread then it would of still been claimed. I never asked jacko or anyone else to get involved,I just told my sec & capt of the decision u boys had made. Myself and Hughie were looking forward to a tough match,which can now go ahead thanks to dan & Andre for giving us another date. So can't we just let this rest now and play some pool which it is all about. |
