The Better Halfs 6 -v- 5 Forum "A"

A very well played and fought out battle between 2 quality teams.
Well done to the Forum and all the best in this season.

Just as a matter of thought and this is mainly my observation of Div 1. Although we're very early into this summer season, there seems to be a lot of 6 - 5 scores which I don't think really indicates the true winning team. A win is a win I know but without the 11th it would have been a lot of draws.
We play 15 frames over 3 sets on Thurdays and they are all blind draws, which is great I think. We start at 8 and are nearly always finished by 10.15 at the latest. Sometimes we're finished by 9.45.
I think it's something our league should consider for forth coming seasons but mainly for the higher divisions. I'm sure it will reflect the true winning team of a match.

Pond Wheatsheaf 4 Rileys Bloodmasters 7

Fairly tight match played in an enjoyable manner. Our visitors were very impressed with our new venue. It does make a refreshing change to the frenetic atmosphere associated with Rileys venues. Not too happy with the end result, but they have a very strong squad and will be there or thereabouts at the end of the season. Good Luck to them for the remainder of the season ! applause
