Blood masters 6-4 Legion

Some very nervy stuff from us with the title in sight. It was 4-4 and looked like we'd lost the 9th but somehow managed to scrape the win.

Pond Q's 6 Lock Stock 4
Propeller 5 Pond Q's 5
A very average performance against the doomed Lock Stock. It was surreal to have to play two matches simultaneously. We decided to do that rather than play the postponed game on another evening. A very creditable draw against the mighty Prop. Good luck to each of our opponent for the last week of the season ! applause applause

we beat forum away 8.2 which isa massive result for us against a good team n a tough table...very hi standard against a gr8 bunch ov guys...played 1st in 2nd set playing bomber so same opponant as if i actually played 1st n only won...congrats 2 stevie D against bloodhounds showing his class again n helping us out...good 2c 3teams seperated by 1 point at the top goin in2 the last game, shame eagles could not ov made it4...wer obviously outsiders needin 2win the league as a tie would b no good but nerves could play a part so we ava squeak..let battle commence butter wouldn't melt ...

Going into the final week the table looks like this:

Bloodmasters 105
Unpredictables 104
Propeller 104
Eden 92 + 1
Pond 91
Forum 75 + 1
Legion 73
Rack Pack 69
Warbank 65
Lock Stock 62

A very exciting climax awaits next Tuesday night. Good luck to all the teams that are involved !!

if we win our game in hand 15-0 we're be top...!!!

last games are;
lock stock v prop
unpreds v pond
warbank v blood masters

if i knew anything about betting i'd make the prop favourites then the blood masters taking opponent and venues into consideration

We do have the edge if it's a tie because we've won most games but I'd say Prop have the easiest game of the three. We had a shocker at the Prop a few weeks ago when we just didn't turn up and, apart from the game v The Eagles, we've faltered since.

Are they giving out ranking points for peoples 2 nd frames??? I hope so I've only lost 3 of them, well deegan I did indeed think u played very well, ( there I said it) lol score could have been anything last night but we can indeed count our slefs lucky to get the win, your lads had many chances to walk out 6, 4 winners yourself and that was looking very likely until Clive just missed a black, We could end up 3rd!!! Lol funny old game, this message will self desruct in 5 secs talk to the hand

well well well, what a very exciting final week we have installed, cant remember when its been this tight at the top.
think prop are slight fav although locks got a draw against them earlier in the season.we need to beat pats men at least 8 2 to possibly win it and the pond dont normally lose by that margin but hay we will give it ago.there will be quite a few texts next week during those games.Grin

then again that will probably be his best ever achievement!

don't you worry about the eden young pat...
it's a nothing game anyway so it might as well be voided!

After telling us we can't have a warm up on your table because you have two matches to play Pat I have no sympathy for you at all.

edit: for the record nobody on my team gave a *******except for me - i thought it was poor form

We wouldn't let you have a warm up as it was quite close to 8.30 by the time you'd completed the match-card !! As you rightly point out,we did have two matches to get through which proved fairly stressful !! Of course you have my heartfelt apology for any unintentional offence that this may have caused, but you did go on to win four games which must almost be your best achievement in the entire season !! The point is that we were there on time - I fail to see a valid reason for you refusing to let us warm up on your table.

As for your 4 games comment you can swivel.

If you want to settle this on the pool table let me know. I won't be needing a warm up.

In defence of the lock stock boys... They were the only team in any competition to beat the bloodmasters on their home turf this season. Just a small fact worth mentioning! Smile

it will be a great final week for sure! take your pick who will win but it will be a close fought battle right to the end! on paper yes the prop have the easier game with the unpredictables facing the hard to thrash pond and the vampires facing a difficult trip to the warbank! who ever wins will have deserved it but with out being to biased i hope the blood masters prevail as they have the most wins by far and fewer losses than any of the other teams in the division and not forgetting they have been top for most of the season so to be pipped at the post will be harsh! so get in there and do yourselves justice drunk
