Bloodmasters 9 Warbank 1

We didnt again take the chances given to us, lady luck was badly against us in a few frames but hey thats pool. However the Bloodmasters have caused a stir for 2 weeks in a row, the longest minute ever to be played in the croydon pool league no time foul called and to be told 59.40 seconds had only been played! Never in a millions years, the only way was if the clock was started 30 seconds late. However it did involve my frame which i did win!

Mr Aldridge, Headmasters office NOW!!

Great banter tonight but Mr Porter please dont take the summer league seriously your getting the team a bad name! Summers for fun, the big boys all come out to play in the winter....

THE END!

I can absolutely assure you that the clock was started on time and it was indeed 59.40 secs. Agreed that there was some great banter tonight (although the stick you boys give Ali is more like abuse!! Very funny though lol)

I will be having words with Mr Porter......

Pond Q's 5 Frames Unpredictables 5

People wonder why the league appears to be disappearing in front of our eyes but the Unpreds. are a perfect explanation of the problem. They have now become a culturally diverse conglomeration of four or five other teams !! The Bloodmasters are another example !! Just thought that I'd mention it . Another bloody score draw. Very high standard of play from both teams. There was one particular game that we should definitely have won,but we didn,t,so that's that. Already looking forward to the trek down to Coulsdon. I suppose that it is barely in Croydon,a borderline case. Good luck to our opponents for the remainder of the season ! applause

P.S.The Propeller drew 5-5 with Lock Stock .

Mark, as i said when we left last night i was going to abuse Teach, take nothing to heart its only banter. Got not problems at all, just enjoyed abusing Teach.

Great night of banter, As for Ali he loves the abuse! Well, he has no choice! LOL.

Hang about pat, me and John are hotshots players who dont have a team anymore ,steve and Darren have always been bloodhounds, and we all played in the same team last season as we will in the coming winter, sooooo what's your point? Wink

Mark, I think that you may have got some splinters in your brain. How many teams did you play for before you were elevated to the Hot Shots ? I seem to recall Teach and Darren playing for a few other teams earlier in their careers ! My point is that there should be a time limit applied when players are considering moving from one team to another, whatever the reason ! This might lead to more team pride and a greater sense of ownership than is now the case !! Players tend to flit around without a care in the world ! There should be a term of gardening leave imposed if a player wanted to switch teams ! It is usually because they have a plastic shortage in their trophy cabinet !! Just my opinion of course ! fishing for a bite

I can only recall Mark playing for the Eden before (or was that his brother), and Porter and Teach playing for the Bloodhounds until they packed up. There are a far greater number of mercanaries thats for sure.

Teams being made up is difficult to qualify. The Eagles for example have had numerous facelifts over the years, due to players wanting to knock it in the head etc etc, and new players coming in.

At no point however have we not been a team away from the pool table. Over the last few years the team have had numerous trips (holidays or sports) home and abroad, and still have a drink up regularly even though we break up in the summer.

We even invite the old boys out (oh *******thats actually me and Wiggy these days!!)

I was most loyal to hotshots for years so that clears that up, and if I wanted yet more egg cups I would never have joined the cue masters lol but I do think u make a good point, but the bloodmasters was a poor example

Both played for the Eden. Of course, Michael was always the most gifted & talented of the two! Hence the reason we offloaded Mark to the 'Hot Pants' just prior to the 2003 season resulting in a memorable Knockout Cup Final win for us, winning ball being sunk by brother Michael. Wink

No investigation needed. Two words - rhymes with barren daughter.
