It is with sad regret that I must say goodbye to an old dear friend. My red cap that has been with me for many years has finally been put to rest. Its elastic band around the inner rim has twanged its last breath. Yes, I could replace the band, but I think I will leave it be, store it away for sentimental value, and maybe find another to adorn my head. A friend that has since passed away gave the hat to me over 11yrs ago, and in that 11yrs never once did I attend a game without it. For those of you who may have trouble recognising me without it, I will be the bloke in the corner rocking back & forth, sucking my thumb and clutching a blanket!!
