Seamen 6-4 Beechtree

When we last played the Beechtree at home (all of about 3 months ago) they admitted they had all the luck to dish out an 8-2 beating.....

With revenge in mind, I fielded what I thought was a fantastic front 5, with thoughts of being at least 4-1 up at half way.....

Being 3-2 down was not in the script, and I was thinking that a change of venue was not helping to bring about a change in fortune....especially as the Beechtree players had proved themselves worthy of the scrap by winning unlikely frames...

4-2 down didn't help either, but finally we found some form to take the last 4 frames, and therefore the match win....

An enjoyable night, and good luck for the season Beechtree (except against us...lol)....laughing

Seamen 6 - 4 Beechtree
You know us Jason, we love a scrap in the front five, the back five, secretaries game, on the football card etc laughing Change of venue for the Seamen to Penge Con Club, we'd got used to playing down the Ship's table moving on ... )

At 4-2 up thought we'd get at least the draw, but credit to the Seamen who fronted up and took the last 4 for the win. Inspired signing for the summer in Shaun Bird, I must say

Cheers for a good laugh last night, good luck for the remainder of the summer and we'll catch ya at ours in the second half of the season handshake

Untouchables 9-1 thicket Taven
well this has to b a great result for us as we played a double ender, as we have the thicket next week in the knockout cup, and what a game they made it we played on 2 seperate tables we were cursing in the league taking the first set 4-1 but in the cup shocking first set 3-2 down we as u can tell were aiming for a big win in the league and solid finishing in the 2nd set put us in good stead, less can b said for the cup we were poor on our old home table and the thicket punished us for out poor mistakes, we managed to claw back to 5-3 up but with my game hoping to win the match and seal victory it got a little tence I missed easy shots ... But the shot of the match had to come from Ben Johnston tries to cut the black in off my red wobbles over the pocket the white travels up and down the table hits my red which pots the black :-( lol ... Steps up mr westbrook who grafted out the game to seal the win :-) ... We had a great nite with the thicket cheers lads and thanks for playing the cup on the same nite ... Finally a special mention to me for 2 break dishes think with a little practice am finding my game again ;-)

am not sticking my acheivements down the list is too long lmao surrender
