Jolly "A" 5 - 5 The Eagles

1-4 down and could have been 4-1 up, then gifted a frame at 2-5 down to set up a great finish to the game, some great pool played with a stunning black to get us the draw i think we deserved

one or two really unlucky moments for both sides evening themselves out over the cousre of the night, but good to see some of our players making their performances really count

Great banter, cheers lads, best of luck for the rest of the season
Smile

Cue Masters 5-5 Prop

See-saw match, 2-0 up, 3-2 down, 4-3 up, 5-4 down. Some good clearances, a few missed chances. Draw probably a fair result.

The Warbank 6 - 4 Hot Shots

You better believe it, its not a typing error. An excellent result tonight against one of the top teams in Div 1 without a doubt. It was sexy pool tonight for sure lol!

We were 3-2 up, 3-3 at one stage and could have been 4-1 up, then 5-3 up, followed by Scott to win a pressure frame to take the bacon home!

Rob, Scott & Mark all winning two out two tonight, with some great tactical frames and pressure potting by all of the Warbank boys!!

It was a great result to us tonight, as many teams felt that we were going to lose, but we will give allot of teams a scare and we are here to stay in Div 1

Unlucky to the Hot Shots, who played their part in a great match, as always they played great attacking pool, but unlucky on a few shots, which cost them. All the best to them for the rest of the season!

Different gravy, chips, eggs, apples, pears, and not forgetting the BEANS of course!!

None of the top three winning !!!
Potentially a good night for the Patriots then.

Pot Luck get thier first frame !!!! History in the making.

With reagards to our match, 5-5 certainly fair. Well dug in by the Jolly, fought back for a deserved draw.

Pot luck SORT IT OUT!!

Lovely bunch of lads very gracious in defeat, applause were ample especially from them, every frame was a learning curve, hopefully they have taken the good advice with the coaching and put them into practice. The very best of luck for the rest of the season.

PS - Guess who lost there frame ?? hehe

Eden 3-7 patriots

just not at races at the moment our starts to a match are letting us down instead of being 3-1 up ourselves we finished the set 4-1 then again poor second set could of and should of been 5-5 or minimum 6-4 loss 100% from the doctor Venus for the season still and unlucky to Barry who miss cued on his last ball good dF from me in my frame that one me the frame but doesn't get any easier hotshots next week with prop to follow think we need to pull up the socks but we have a good record against the hotshots. No steve rae tonight as the misses gave birth on Friday to a georgeous little baby boy so congratulations to him.

That's all folks!
I think I got a bite ... And it's a big one

yes pot luck will be happy with themselves not just for getting a point, but for being in the lead for what will probably be the only time lol Great bunch of guys and take defeat extremely well. While they're learning from us, some of us could learn good sportsmanship from them.

A really enjoyable match last night v the propeller! as shanks said the match ebbed and flowed right to the end! from 4-3 up to 4-5 down i think we would have been gutted if we had lost because a draw was the very least we deserved from last nights performance!
even tho the prop have lost the likes of w.pope and andy shaw they are still a strong team! was suprised that rob Mc and paul adams were left out on the bench tho as both are qaulity players and that in itself shows you the strength of their team!
massive performances from dave mac n cassey everitt for us last night, and even tho in tight games like this its tempting to stick with your strongest team we again rotated the squad so that everyone got a game!

well played to the prop again last night! now we can look forward to the eagles next week and no doubt the deluded wack jacko( the leagues worse tipster) will be predicting a 10-0 defeat for us.Wink

Fascinating round of results this week that really show the strength in depth of the league and the fact that it really is wide open this year.

Jolly pressing home their home advantage and showing everyone they are looking to become a permanent division one fixture.

Patriots avoiding a big potential banana skin in the Eden to continue the belief they will be a threat for the title this year. Eden probably slipping in to the bottom 3 will need to turn things around fast.

Propeller and Cuemasters cancelling each other out for the third straight league fixture. Cuemasters missed two blacks and went on to lose those frames and prop missed a couple of clearances they would normally expect to get. Top performances from Dave Mac and Casey for the Cuemasters both winning twice with some top finishing. Hartley Miller the pick for the Prop. Few could complain about the end scoreline although most of us were shocked to see 4 quality Prop players sitting on the sidelines and not getting a frame.

Hot Shots Losing to the Warbank whose top players seemed to all fire leaving the teams in an around the bottom worrying about their show of form.

And then the Pot luck winning their first frame ....Quality!

Overall a good week for the Patriots but no one really loses any ground.

Propeller - 23
Eagles - 23
Patriots - 19
CueMasters - 18
Hot Shots - 17
Unpredictables - 15
Jolly - 14
Warbank - 13
Eden - 12

tbh i think pot luck will sneak a few more frames. the frame they won against us their players did clear up i think it as 4 balls plus the black. (ok he had 2 shots!) and to think theres over 200 frames left. There's a good chance of them having the same situation again. So who knows Smile lol
