The Warbank 4 - 6 - Farley Eden

Almost like a carbon copy of the match we had before with the Eden, a match which went back and forth, we were 2-1 down, 3-2 up after the first set and 4-4. There were issues with the table, which didnt do both team favours. Rob Collings had two great frames, coming back to win against Farron and Barry. David was really unlucky to go in off off the black, which would have been 5-4 to us.

Disappointed with the result, but was great banter there tonight.

Well played to the boys from the Eden, I am sure we will try and get our revenge in the league games soon to come!! lol

The very best of luck to the Eden for the remainder of the Knockout Cup.

Eagles 6 Better halfs 3.
no Shaggy.Wiggy,Marine,Jake or Wayne tonight so quite worried but needen't have worried as Tom Telford the 15 yr old superstar did the two best dishes of the night, best I have ever seen him play. Marco played very well for the better halfs.

flying machine 4 - 6 foreign legion.

what a great night. 2-2, then 5-3 down. got back to 5-4, for our secretary to miss a long black to get the draw. only to see the BEST reverse double i think I've ever seen with the last red to land plumb on the black.
every single game was awesome, we could of been 4-0 up, as could of they. best pool i've seen in us play in a long long time.

well played legion, see you in january.

Dukes scraped through against the Ticket Tavern. Nice bunch of lads, not exactly the best pool from either side you will ever see, with many frames see-sawing. Made for exciting viewing for neutrals. Good luck to the Tavern this season. Will have to raise our game a lot to get anything at Lewisham tonight.

Fair reflection of the match Nature Boy, was a very close contest. Not quite sure what all these one liners the Warbank boys love saying to each other. 'Cash', 'Eggs', 'Money', 'Beans' - what is that all about?!!!

The Warbank set out their intentions last night by keeping a few on the bench and went back to back sets with the same 5 players. We only had 5 players at the match so no selection worries this week. I thought we were a bit unlucky to be 3-2 down at the turn but it was an evenly contested opening set with both teams having chances on a table that just does not allow you to take out frames.

2nd set, I felt we went through the gears though at 4-4 we got lucky with the in-off black. A massive last frame from Rab to put us into the hat for the 2nd round draw. For the Warbank, Collings produced two good wins. For us, solid and reads the game so well - Scott Harkness 2/2. Our West Indies International, Farron, has really improved over the summer and was tactically sublime in his 2nd set win.

Jolly A 6-4 Farley Small Spuds

I have to be honest and say that I didn't think it would go past the 6 frames, but the little spuds started off well, going 2-0 up. Frames were battled over hard including two by our Chas where both teams were preparing to bed down for the night!!
Result standing at 5-4 down left me thinking perhaps I should have played the team order differently but that's the way it goes

Anyway good luck to the Jolly for the rest of the K/O Cup

Come On The Farley Spuds!!!

Yes indeed. Not making the mistake of doing so much organising from abroad this time though. As soon as I get back, though, I?ll be onto it. Watch this space.
