THE WARBANK 2 - 8 THE EAGLES

The score does not paint a true picture of the frames played tonight, could have been 7-3, 6-4 or even a 5-5. There were frames which we should have won and some which we lost due to some lucky kisses, but thats pool at the end of the day, disppointing.

The banter between both teams was second to none and we all had a good crack.

All the best to the boys at The Eagles for the rest of the season, see you guys in the second half.

Cuemasters 6-4 Eden

Managed to avoid kicking off the season with a tie after being the draw specialists last season.

Pot Luck 0 - 10 Propellor

A very enjoyable debut for me and a good performance from the boys. Was a little sad that this wasn't the Hurricanes playing tonight, particularly with the scoreline, but Macca very quickly reminded me that we had also lost 10-0 to the Prop in the opening game of last winter - cheers mate!!

With regards to the opposition - great bunch of lads, very enthusiastic, great venue, great food (I think Swetts was happy) but, it's going to be a very long season for them!!

A good solid start from the Cuemasters last night with no fewer than 9 players in attendance and only 1 player playing twice. I feel a healthy competition for places which is great to see so long may it continue.

Good to see the Eden guys again.

enjoyable match last night with our old enemies cuemasters/coney cues.....well all bar the resultrolling eyes
have to say the cuemasters look to have signed some very handy players & will be up challenging to break into the top 4 i'd imagine.....saying that we had chances in every frame & did not manage to take enough of them & in div 1 you get what you deserve & in this case it was a 6-4 beating
HOW LONG LEFT ?

Top 4 is defo the target however we will need to keep everyone interested as it is a very long season.

Congrats to Scott by the way i wasn't aware he has become a dad I am sure the twins will keep him busy but good to see him back.

cheers truey!

was some gud pool played last night from both teams! a nice break & dish by steve against me(cheers 4 that) and some solid play by mr truan kept the eden in the match but we knew it would never be easy so were all quite pleased with the result!

with scott and dave back in the team and the younger players improving i cant see the eden having the same relagation fears as last year! can see them hoving a solid season in the league and a good run in the cups! as for us 9 players turning up is unheard of! everyone seems keen and this is definately the strongest cuemaster team for many a season so if we can keep it all together we will deffo be pushing for top 4 finish!

yea that's correct. we could've easily taken at least 3 of the frames in the first set and could've even maybe got a draw as the chances were there and sometimes serveral chances in a frame. we were i think 8-0 down until sparks got the elctricity flowing and stoppped us from getting washed in our first match. I blame everyone for getting homesick which tends to happen when having to travel Pfft lol good game though.
