Flying machine - Waddon wizzards - Postponed.

sorry everybody in div three for another postponed game.
duno when we are gona play it, half our team play on wednesdays, mondays and thursdays we have problems with.
they gave us a week notice so we cant really say no, but i think the reason is a little crap tbh.
their driver is away. surely someone else on the team must drive? or why not get a cab?
oh well, im sure we'll try and sort it out asap.

of course, good lads at the waddon, not saying they are not. just a bit pissed off that we'll have to arrange for another night of the week and we probably wont have a full team available.

As i've been made aware, our week 14 game against the Waddon away is going the same way, cancelled, because they have a lot of players on holiday, and wouldn't be able to field a team. From my understanding talking with our secretary Sunday, we'll be playing sometime towards the end of the season.

holiday/1 cancellation i can stomach at best....however 2 on the spin as we enter the business end of the season; especially as the excuse is "we cant get a driver" = bollox.

Thanks shark, although I'd suggest you get a spellcheck on your posts.....

Maple tree.....quality team, deserved to win, but the scoreline was quite harsh....on more than one occasion a jawed ball gave the opportunity for an unlikely ( but quality) clearance - which somehow came off!!!

I'd like to see us stay up too....I suspect there's more chance I'll win the lottery though....lol

Good luck...please bash the beech tree and the folly as badly as you did us, that way we'll have half a chance....

No one's mentioned the shot of the night. Dave Mac's first break off, which somehow cleared the pack, hit the top cushion and landed on the book shelf without disturbing a ball.

I make it that the Eden have 78, Maple 76, Okies 71. All to play for.

Done Grin

Was an excellent result for the oakies, great atmosphere and plenty of banter, well, 90% of the time was spent taking the pi$$ out of our own team lol...

Just 5 teams to play now from the bottom half of the table, Its upto us to try and stop the Farley Eden, its not impossible but were gonna have to play solid if we stand any chance of winning!

Impossible is nothing

Beechtree 2 - 8 The Folly

It was all going swimmingly at 2-0 up, then shit hits the fan and we lose 8 on the bounce. Wont take anything away from the Folly, deserved win, but not sure the scoreling reflected the match.Sad Our worst home result for 18 months.

Great bunch of lads there, good luck for the rest of the season lads.

oakie coakies 7-3 Eden

Got spanked tonight no question think we beat ourselves before chalking up take nothing away from the coak heads they played well gifted games where we were in control had a bare minimum tonight table was poop great advantage for the home side enough said. Close at the top now however all the big games are out the way and feel sorry for our next opponents as we are looking for a really big win and I'm sure we will be focused on a massive result.

Good luck for the rest of the season oakies. I'm signing off. Good night.

Beechtree 2-8 The Folly

Cracking result for us last night, especially from 2-0 down. Rode our luck a little bit but deserved winners. applause Could be the result that keeps us up this season.

Thanks to the Beechtree boys for an enoyable night and good food. Only downside was the very poor lighting!! If it had been a cricket match the light would have been offered. Massive shadows round the balls made long pots very challenging.

Good luck for the rest of the season guys.

No question you were the better team on the night but the table hardly helped us nice and slow so don't get yourself into a pickle LOL
