The Folly 6-4 The Seamen
A good match, with some good pool played by both sides, but everyone was hampered by a table that was fu**ing s**t.
Granted, it's the same for both teams, but there were certain shots where balls changed their direction of travel by 90 degrees within a space of 12 inches. Andy Patrick did try and address the problem during the course of the match, but was unable to cure the problem. Ultimately, the table heavily affected the outcome of several frames, and although the benefit was not totally one sided, it would have been nice to have the match decided by player ability, rather than factors beyond any control.
Note for timing watchers.....frame 1 was still in play at 8.45 (late start), all 10 completed by 10.20....and we weren't exactly rushed....if this carries on, we'll have to revert to an 8.30 start!!!!
Enjoyable night despite the table....good luck for the season guys.... |

Waddon 6 - 4 Oakie Cokies, 3-2 up in the 1st set only to be undone by some e xcellent pool from the Waddon in the 2nd which saw them take 4 on the spin to win the match. Very well played them, no complaints |

Or stick at 8:15 start and play 15 frames. Its the way forward |

Eden A 5 - 5 Mapletree (bromley cue master)s lol
Absouloutely crap table so small cushions dead poor cloth rolls like hell but after being 3-1 down I suppose we would have took the draw. Out of us 2 and possibly oh ok oakies or the wizzards to win the league well played to mapletree decisive when needed to be and well done to our boys for pulling it back. Everyone Should save up for a new table though as a team like theirs deserves much better and the one they possess at the moment is only good for resting your stella on although half of it would be wasted as its lop sided LOL

The Folly 6-4 The Seaman
Apologies once again for the state of our table Statto which is an absolute disaster. I've had words with the management to get it addressed in time for the next game!
Sounds like we have some competition from The Mapletree for worst table in the division though!
A good evening despite the table and a welcome win for us in what may be a hard season. Cheers to the Seaman boys for a good game. |

lol fair assesment faz man!
not the best table without a doubt although im not sure id waste a pint of stella to prove the point!
fair result last night tho as most of the frames were quite scrappy! good comeback from the eden from 1-3 down just as we was looking to close out the match. dont know much about the other teams but am sure the edens will be in the mix come the end!
look forward to the rematch on a decent table..

we may need a bigger boat..! |

Fazza forgot to mention the fruit machine near one corner that makes cueing awkward, especially for a long streak of urine like me. The pool was generally poor last night but the table was the main reason for that. |
