with 3 weeks remianing league table:
Eagles - 123
Propeller - 121
Hot Shots - 113
Patriots - 109
Unpredictables - 104
Cuemasters - 98
Jolly - 87
Farley Eden - 82
London Snooker - 81
Bloodhounds - 80
Pond Q's - 73
Legion - 73
At the top
Stalemate this week in the top 2, the only real change was that the Hots Shots are pretty much out of it bar the shouting after having scored less than their two rivals in a week where they had to pick up points. A final week showdown looking all the more likely unless the Unpredictables or Hot Shots have a say in the Props & Eagles run in. Hot Shots need a miracle now to make up 10 points in 3 games. Prop are hammering all around them whilst the Eagles are grinding results, Eagles need to hold their nerve.
Eagles
Bloodhounds
Unpredictables
Propeller
Propeller
Pond Q's
Hot Shots
Eagles
Hot Shots
Unpredictables
Propeller
Farley Eden
and at the bottom
Jolly
London Snooker
Patriots
Legion
A win for the Jolly next week all but makes them safe as it looks like the London Slates are looking favoured for the drop, if the Bloodhounds also lose next week against the Eagles the Jolly will maintain their div 1 status.
Eden
Legion
Pond Q's
Hot Shots
Another massive dissapointment for the Eden who were only saved potentially dropping in to the bottom 3 by equal poor results for the team below them (Bloodhounds excluded). Their next two games are vs the Legion & Pond both of which have been grudge fixtures in previous years. With a full strength Eden side I would say that they would roll these two over but in the current circumstances the Eden must be getting a little worried. The facts remain though that the Legion & Pond both must beat the Eden to have any chance of survival. All depends on how experienced the eden side is to face them. I fancy the eden will lose against one of them and the Hots shots but scrape through because of other results.
London Snooker
Jolly
Bloodhounds
Patriots
Looking more a more likely that the winner of the penultimate fixture will stay up. If the Slates can pull off a realistic win against the Jolly next week they will give themselves the edge against the bloodhounds who are likely to lose next week. Both London & Bloodhounds will be glad to see that it looks like a 3 way shoot out for the final relegation spot rather than a two horse race.
Bloodhounds
Eagles
London Snooker
Unpredictables
See above. Need to get a similar result to this week to guarantee they are in striking distance for the big one in week 21. Either way it looks certain to go to the final fixture so it is about giving yourself the "In our own Hands" edge come the final week.
Pond Q's
Propeller
Eden
Cue Masters
Lose next week and they are down, the equation is simple. The Prop need a big win to stay in touch. They need to win against the prop and hope the legion can do them a favour against the Eden. If they win 6-4 and the eden lose 6-4 that cuts the gap to five points. The Pond will then need to get a 7-3 against the Eden to cut the defecit to just one point which is possible to make up in the final week. All this is irrelevant if they lose to the Prop which they are red hot favourites to do.
Legion
Eden
CueMasters
Jolly
Same as above really 8 points from safety. Even if they win 6 - 4 next week they still need both the Bloodhounds and London to both lose to have a decent chance of making up the ground. Without a fixture against the London or Bloodhound boys to come they have to hope they can destroy the Eden and their best chance in reality is the Eden boys going down in their place. A 7-3 win for the Legion next week will bring them to within 5 points of the Eden, meaning they realistically would still need to win the final 2 fixtures as well to stay up. IMO not gonna happen
Champions
Eagles
Relegated
London Snooker
Legion
Pond Q's |

Eden
Vs Legion 6-4 win looking at a 3.30 am finish
Vs Pond 7-3 win with alex to rape pat
Vs hotshots 5-5 for a team with some big names just don't like playing the Eden
I think I got a bite ... And it's a big one |

Another good write up Berty. Full of 'this could happen's', or 'this may happen' jargon. Wonderful. One thing is for certain there will be a few more twists and turns before this winter season closes.
At the top the Eagles and Prop have dispensed of the other two contenders in the title race. I can't see the Hot Shots winning it now, so definately a two horse race. Both the Ego's & Prop both play sides next week who in the past have performed well against them, teams who both need to take points from the matches as well. Ego's & Props middle games are pretty evenly matched opposition wise though Hot Shots away from home is something the Prop may have not preferred at this stage. Its going to come down to the final encounter of the season. You could see it happening as far back as before Christmas. Just a shame all of us will be playing that night because that is one game you want to be at to watch.
At the bottom, I hope you've got those predictions right Berty. Looking at the remaining fixtures, we may be fortunate in so far as the Jolly do need that one more victory and play London next. Plus the Hounds still have to play London. Legion & Pond, I think, will need to win all 3 games and maybe still rely on other results. Both those sides we play next and I know they would love nothing more than to take us with them, so it adds a bit more spice to the matches. As for us, I don't think any one of my side would disagree that based on our 2nd half form we thoroughly deserve to be fighting for our Div 1 status. Maybe the lack of experience in the squad has shown in recent months. In the past we have always had what it takes to deliver at the right time. The next 3 games are bar far the biggest matches we have played since 4 seasons back when we were in a similar position. |

maybe not the lack of experience but a lack of quality consistently
We are all fabulous on our day but for some of us at the moment including myself here thosedays are not coming regularly enough and that's quite worrying
We cannot afford to keep relying on the same guys to keep winning for us oureesults have proved it's not enough

Tough place for a new player to make their mark in the cauldron of the Eden.

good write up again berty! looking at the run in like most i still belive its either the slates or the hounds for that 3rd place! be a shame to see the legion and the pond go down but really cant see them pulling off any suprises in the coming weeks! the eden are having a terrible run but just cant see them going down as they still have more quality than the teams around them. slates have the easier run in out the two and you feel the hounds have to win large when they meet the slates tues week cause i cant see them getting much change out the eagles or the unpredictables! slates need to get at least a draw against the jolly who are on a good roll at the moment to pressure them!

we may need a bigger boat..! |

Cheers for your input Dotcom but to be honest the reason I started posting on this site again after most of a season away from it was because I didn't like to see the hard work work of people like Danny and Sass and now Saxton (sorry if I forgot anyone) go to waste. Now from a position of knowing what it is like to have a bit of needle I know it can be entertaining to a point, especially if it is directly related to rivalry between teams (pick any one of 6 teams and the Eden lol) I kind of saw your appeal for about 5 minutes before it got tedious to the point of enducing coma.
I look at the pointless drivel that you have posted on this site which on the surface seems interesting: provoke a money match (that you don't follow through with) or a bit of banter (good for a 5 year old), or even sh*t stirring and advising someone that they are crap and it is just so wafer thin and lacking interest. Your banter is like scottish football...pointless. You are a player from the lower leagues who is completely unknown to 95% of people on this site giving it the big un, challenging everyone and his brother to money matches based on being top of the bottom division divisional singles race. Whilst I commend anyone from the lower divisions working their way up I would say you are far from the position where you can call anyone in div one who has even notched up one win crap.
Now if you wouldn't mind going to your division 5 forum where you are a medium sized fish in a small pond it would be greatly appreciated. See you in 4 years if your good enough. |

I was referring to some of the lads 2nd half performances actually dude. We've lost a few experienced heads before even a ball was hit this season and its been tough for the new guys to adapt when it has been needed especially when most of the experience members have struggled also to find some consistency. The player stats unfortunately sum it all up in the 2nd half. |

Careful Berty, he'll tell you that he 'played' for the Drillers and Unpredictables. And was part of both their 'history' making sides. If there was a team photo for both those sides that season, then you would find Waters tucked somewhere at the back partially blocked out.
The truth is his team roll was to cut up the half time oranges at the Drillers and at the Unpredictables he was the official cue polisher for Steve Field.

Spot on about Dot.com, Berty. How can a player who has hidden himself away in Division 5 have a pop at someone who has had the balls to test himself in Division 1? Dot.com's illiterate posts are not worth the considerable effort required to make sense of them. |

I have no problem with people posting because you can opt not to read it as I have done in recent weeks. It just gets annoying a detremental to the site when said person pans the whole site looking for people to upset and putting other people off using the site who have used it for years.
