Bloodhounds 4 - 6 Propellor

A really close fought game - both teams had chances, there was also some bad luck for both sides. But definitely a huge improvement on our 10-0 drubbing in the first game of the season.

Also pleased to beat Swetts in the secretaries!

Naturally talented eagles 5 v 5 grafters

Should have been 6-4 to us but we will take 5-5 against such naturally talented opposition.

the league now has a big 5.

Hot Shots 5-5 Cuemasters

Yet another draw for us, the 7th I think. 3-1 down but then 5-3 up.

Pond Q's 5 Jolly 5 Another bore-draw. Not much good pool from either side. Another late finish. Roll on the stopwatches. It will be nice to be able to watch News at Ten on a Tuesday evening in the summer league .

Trailing 4-2, we'll probably be happier with the draw than the Ego's, and credit to my team for taking their opportunities in the latter part of the match. Though I am sure the Ego's will feel they deserved nothing more than a 5 all. It was a classic encounter though as most Eden/Eagles have always been over the past decade.

The Eden squad is on fire though and we're hitting a bit of form at the right time. Barry Watkins was sublime last night and Scott Harkness composure when severley under the kosh was outstanding. However, its not that often I've come away feeling disappointed with only getting a draw against the Ego's. But a draw last night and a win against the Hot Shots the week before - two tough away ties so we'll happily take that.

Many thanks to Andy Esgrove for providing the pre-match Eden team talk. It did the trick. Wink

Other Div 1 results from Rileys Purley Way:
Unpredictables 6-4 London Snooker
Legion 3-7 Patriots

Dark horses the Patriots, and they have sneaked their way into the title running. 4 teams now in with a shout and it's going to be the best finale for a number of years.

Good match last night as always against a hugely talented ego's teamWink
Hugh Telford for them & Barry Watkins for us were the 2 class performers with Barry displaying the talent he is, as has been said the ego's were 4-2 up & at that point i guess they thought they would win but then we get 5-4 up & a big chance to steal the honours, but b4 play we would gladly have taken 5-5 & in the end i guess it was about right......

great effort from the boys last night to come back from 1-3 to lead 5-3 against the hot shots just a shame we could not close out the win! thats our 7th draw i belive and each time we have been leading only to be pegged back! certainly closing up at the top now with the big 3 all dropping points to the mortals below themSmile good to see the patriots suddenly sneaking into a title chasing position with less than half the season to go things could get very interesting.

Eagles 5 Eden 5.
cannot disagree with anything the Eden players have said.
before last night I would have bit your arm off for a 6-4 so a 5-5 is not too bad a result especially with our rivals not taking too much of an advantage, special mention for Barry, three years ago when we played at the Farley I thought he was alright but nothing special, last night he proved he has improved a hundredfold not just in ability but in nerve as well.

also impressed that 2 years ago the Eden were struggling for players and last night played 8 against us. Sorry to only play 5 owing to Tom being on holiday Shaggy(our best player at the moment) working very late and Jake yet again not being let out by his mum
