Seamen 5-5 Pawleyne Arms
A hard fought match that never had more than a frame in it either way....disappointed that we lost a couple we should have won, but no doubt the Pawleyne will say the same....
A late finish tonight, but it was a late start....could justifiably have taken frames off the Pawleyne based on arrival time.....but I know we'll end up doing the same sometime, so I hope that the other team will be as kind to us!!!
The rematch will be an interesting one, as I suspect it will be a relegation 20 pointer at the end of the season (either that or meaningless as we'll both be already relegated:lol
Well played guys!! |

It was a game where we could have had more frames, but I'm sure the Warbank boys will be thinkng the same. 1 frame we were lucky to get when their guy followed the white into the corner with the black on the middle bag, but all other frames we had chances. Chatty was unlucky, going in off after playing a superb shot to pot the black white first off the cushion. All in all, we gotta be happy with the win.

I hear the Imps game away to Flying Machine was called off @ 2-1 due to a power failure. Whats the story there? |

I'm no expert, but I'm sure that's when the power fails....
Can anyone shed some light on this? (See what I did there) |

Magnum Force 9 - 1 SAS
SAS only had 4 players but we took our chances well. |

Yup, we were 2-1 up when we had to abandon the game.
the pool lights went off in the 3rd game, fuse tripped, but put them back on again. the during the 4th frame they went again, but with a much louder bang, along with 3 other lights around the table area, fuse was fine, but just no power to those lights. fucking shite pub.
Paul was/is going to speak to mark, but what normally happens in this situation?

It's an unusual situation which is nobody's fault. So I should imagine as long as the two teams can come to an agreement on a rescheduled match, then Mark will leave you to it. . . .

Well this is what i thought. They started saying that on the return fixture we'll just double the result, but i tried to point out that would fuck up the stats.
I can understand the Imps not being impressed that they have travelled down to us for it to happen, but they didn't have to get so pissed off about it. Obviously we weren't happy about it, we were 2-1 up, at home, against the league leaders. But as much as we apologised for it, they didn't seem to realise that it wasn't our fault lol |

What do you mean that you don't keep a standby generator or a few pairs of night vision goggles handy in case this type of thing happens?
Amateurs! No wonder they wonder they were pissed off!
Did you ask if they would rather play in the dark?

maybe...
we did turn all the dart board lights round and aimed them at the table, they weren't amused although their player who was in the middle of his frame did then clear up his last 6 balls with ease and pot the black. who needs lights eh.

We actually think its from the problem we had last year. When the old landlord shut the pub for 3 weeks the roof leaked and ruined the table. when he returned it looks like he just did a bodgejob on the repair. Since then he has left, then pub was shut AGAIN for a few weeks earlier this season and the new landlord put in by the brewery hasn't had a chance yet to sort everything out. |

It was a pain having to travel to Biggin Hill only for the match to be abandoned, as for us all walking out "so pissed off" I disagree. If any of my players gave that impression I can only apologise.

Chuckles, didn't come out exactly how i meant it, sorry mate Pissed off was the wrong word, just annoyed at the traveling.
I'm sure the rest of our guys will be happy to come down another night to yours and re-play it. I'll wait to here from Paul after he's spoken to Mark.
