hmmmm, would it not be embarrassing for Pond Q's to actually get anything out of the game, Going on the fact that Eden are at home and given where Pond Q's are in the league ? I think anything other then a 8-2 to the eden would just be |

The jolly 2-8 The patriots
No complaints. We were rubbish tonight. We made mistakes in every game and it cost us. Well played the patriots.

Cheers Chris,
Yeah, the little flicks and bits of runs that we never saw last week came our way last night, game of pool in a nutshell.
I must admit, at 2-0 I was thinking the worst, but we started to get a bit of belief and momentum and then a few black balls followed.
Always a pleasure playing the Unpredictables, win or lose they are a great advert for this league.

Farley Eden 4-6 Pond Q's
At 3-0 up in 15 minutes we were coasting. Pond then reeled off the next 3 frames before we got our noses in front at 4-3. The next 3 frames we gifted from winning positions. Credit to the Q's they kept at it and they took their opportunities.
One positive was the return of Scott Lansing, for only the 2nd time this season and taking 2 out 2 frames last night.
And another positive, was the absence of Pat. I am grateful that stand in Captain, Leo King, was smirking at me at the end rather than Pat!

Slates 4 - 6 Bloodhounds
Third win on the spin (gosh the dizzy heights that we reach! :lol
This was probably even more satisfying than the Eagles win because we were 3-0 and 4-2 down but stuck in, rode our luck and won the last 4!!
To be honest the Slates deserved a draw at the very least. Was impressed again with Geron Dawkins who b/d in the third frame. Really good venue and a great table. |

good match against the legion boys last night! we raced into a 4-0 lead only to lose the next 3 frames on the spin but with another draw on the cards managed to take 2 of the next 3 to secure the win! with the bloodhounds and pond qs getting good wins again last night the table at the mid to bottom end is certainly tightning up a bit!
ps i wonder if fazza will make an appearance today after yesterdays bullish post !!!!

we may need a bigger boat..! |

I hear that we were extremely fortunate to beat the Eden last night. We must accept that for an average side like ours to beat a team of legends,we will always need the run of the ball. The Eden are a truly great team. They're just misunderstood. They tend to spout a considerable amount of vitriolic rubbish in an effort to control their obvious nervousness before the big games. If results go their way, they should be definite title-contenders . Oh well, time to wake up and continue to live in the Real World. |

Longshanks, your team's fortuitous victory over the Eagles last night has obviously raised your intellectual level beyond the comprehension of most other site-users !! |

Pat, your senility is getting the better of you. The Eagles won last against the Unpredictables, we triumphed over the Legion. Oh and I wasn't even there as I was witnessing an occurrence rarer than Halley's Comet. |
