I would make you fourth favourite out of 4, but thats probably a position you actually like.

When are the semis by the way?

Power

I wouldn't say on & off the table personally. I get on ok with a few players in your team off the table. Its just an on the table during the match thing with me.

Sour grapes.......Very predictable.

PS. I don't play for the coney, so post away, this will be my last on the subject.
I would rather be playing golf

The Coney are so forgotten, so the posts won't flow. Likewise I have no interest in carrying on the debate. You are entitled to your opinon whether I agree with it or not. Good luck tonight in your quest for the Div 2 title and no doubt we'll cross swords again next season. Wink

Anyways, my two cents worth:

I love the Eden's passion, the 7/8 players on the touchline get right behind their man in every frame, but I can understand how it grinds people up the wrong way.
Eden are the Marmite of Croydon Pool, Love them or Hate them.

The league would not be the same without them, so I'm glad they'll be carrying on.

As I said though, I can understand why it rubs people up the wrong way, when they're on the asscend, it can be construed as aggressive cheering if you're not used to it.

The first time I encountered them it certainly opened my eyes, but you do get used to it, and I wouldn't want them any other way now.
Long live the Roar!
So long as it never crosses the line into dis-respect, then there's no problems in my opinion.

You should see some of the antics in Yarmouth, the Eden wouldn't even register vs. some of the teams up there. . . . It's proper fierce!

Pop down in a few weeks and do the best thing you will ever do and sign up for the Eden. I'll show you what the true meaning of inspiration is.... Wink

I think that we (the Eden) are simply misunderstood. Team spirit and support of team mates (including vocal support) is necessary if a team of pool players who only play once a week and mainly do it for the laugh are going to have a chance against players who take it far more seriously and play pool as a normal part of their lifestyle.

I am sure we occasionally overstep the mark (mainly scott) but that is just some of us getting carried away.

If you watch any prem football match you will see players snarling all over the place and huge vocal celebrations, thats a big part of home advantage and if we can create that when we are away then even better.

In fairness to the legion i was quite impressed with how they played and the result was not a fair reflection of the game overall, prob more like 8-6 would have been a better reflection but at crucial times they made mistakes which shifted the whole balance of the match. Our clearances toward the end of the game were the difference for me.

Good luck to them and hope to see them back in div 1 next winter, i think they would do better than some of the teams have this year.

Awesome finishes from Rab and Barry twice!
Never. The Rab and Barry signed to keep the Farley Eden afloat, make up the numbers. Will never hack in in div 1. Not good enough for the big matches. blah blah blahblah blah blahblah blah blah
Arsene Wenger would be proud to make 2 such astute signings.
Paul, where have i said. Rab or Barry are "Pulling up trees" or "The pool equivalent of the second coming" In the above post???.
As you well know when we have had a personal chat, i will always support, give it the big one, praise any team that plays out of The Farley... Dont matter if they win the Treble 2005/ 2006. The Interleague Knockout Cup 2005/ 2006. Or Finish last in Div 5...

Surely no Coney player has the ability nor winning hunger to ever grace The Mighty Eden, apart from that i'm not sure you could afford the transfer fee, i still have a year on my contract so you can't have me on a Bosman.

If Mr Spry is keen on playing next season it will be interesting to see who signs him. He has been an absolute rock on 1 for the Coney through the years. If he was more interested in pool he could really become deadly but unfortunatlely his penchant for wanking (and playing snooker) gets in the way wrong

Yep, I still think Rob is under-rated. In the 2nd half of this season he has been unbelievable. I'm hopeful that a good few of the Coney players might want to get involved after a bit of a break.
