Just pointing out the FACT you have failed in YOUR goal to finish above us this season, that's all.

Think the Hotshots are on 128 to be honest..
Anyway Alex have you achieved your goals this year????Was middle table obscurity the aim?? Or is the annual beating of a decent side a long the way good enough to float your boat?
The Legion appeared keen to be playing against you in the Cup, so that trophy potential could be disappearing anytime soon as well.

Amended the table above. Forgot their result last week was not added.
Our goal each season starts off the same, to keep playing Div 1 pool as its the only place to be these days, so we're doing something right. Beating the National Champions and yourselves (twice) along the way is never our goal as we turn up and expect to win those games We have never had time for big reputations, you surely know that by now.
I'm sure the rest of the Eden boys will be glad to learn the Legion are keen to be playing us and I can't say we were disappointed when we learnt of the QF draw. After all its the locking of horns of two old enemies which of course always adds a bit of spice to any fixture.

Berty - Good luck with the end of team/season curry and piss up, it is just a shame you dont have any meaningful trophies to look back on.... Surely every team is judged on achievements?
I heard a rumour that Saxton has offered to carry the Coney on in the Summer (as you only need 3 players) but you would rather break up the team? It would be a real shame to give up that div 1 status, and as we all know things can change. You might want to play again in a year or so but if youve folded you would have to spend 5 years going through all the divs again.
I would say we are going to miss you but...... |

do the maths
James Lives in Oxford - does not want to continue
Merv lives in Portland - Has said he wants to finish
Spry has wanted to finish for a season at least
Ansell lives in Guilford
Rhys moves to Milton Keynes in 3 weeks
Dippy is more than happy to finish
I have wanted to finish for 18 months
Donna was just helping out
Luke will prob continue but wants to be in a competitive team which the remains of tis team unless it merges would not be he may go to the cuemasters.
Saxton may be going to the lodgers.
In summary those who want to continue the team next season as the coney maybe saxton but other than that zero.

And not to mention how embarassing its all going to be if you change your minds especially after 59 enthralling chapters of the 'Coney Folding'. Nobody will ever take you seriously again.....

er.. what about the reams of 'the Eden folding', which is clearly not going to happen now? No one will ever take you seriously....I won't finish that sentence, the punchline is too obvious.

As always said & i guess the same is true of the coney
If we did not sign the 3 new players & get an old 1 back then yes we would have folded - i guess if they could sign some new blood then Saxton would carry it on, it is clearly a sad situation that a team has to fold after the years of hard slog to get to & stay in Div 1 - but i guess we all get other things we need to do - The Coney Cuemasters has a ring about it, so do the right thing....
Oh yes did Danny Evans & Hugh Telford play on Tuesday or did they get the free frames ?

They both played. Danny won, Hughie lost.
Winning the league is more important than one or both of them winning something as an individual.
I honestly don't see how people can look at a winners trophy in the knowledge that they have ducked playing.

couldn't agree more Mr Wildman
Just earlier in the season (Against the mighty SAS) i heard that someone did not play when they only had 5 (No names but it wasn't Danny)
As i said to Scott the other week - no matter what you have to play and win the frames rather than hiding and nicking a trophy - pathetic
Looks like it is Danny's to throw away - I see he has only lost 1 frame
that he has played in & in the singles final - Not a bad season if he can hold it together & finish with a flourish - good luck (Only in the final though - hope you get stuffed in the 2 final league games :elol

Wasn't there for that game..
But my theory is that you dont change positions. If it means you are playing there best player then so be it. If you deserve it you will win it.
Both Danny and Kyle have been excellent for us this year at 1 and 2, and there seems no reason to change it.
It does appear thats not the case with everyone. Heard a rumour that Graf was asked by another player in the running for Divisonals/Rankings to move from his normal position to play Danny...
Fortunately this plan didnt work.
Could be all nonsense though!

It is a shame but it's easy to see why they have to fold. I'm glad you lot are carrying on. I think it won't simply be a merger of the Coney and Cuemasters, there may be one or two from the Elmer as well.
Fair play to Danny and Hughie. Shirking at number 6 or 7 was never an option. Hughie had to pick again and chose Stuart Thompson, who is our highest player in the rankings this season, simply because he had beaten Hughie at our place and he wanted revenge. |

Hughie did indeed play at no. 7 against the SAS that was my fault as I pick the team. Hughie gave me a bollocking about it and I promised not to do it again. I thought I was doing the right thing, I wasn't, so from that moment on I decided unless somebody needs to be dropped through loss of form or Nuttman virus(loss of bottle) I will be playing my normal line up. I could have played both Danny and Hughie at 6 & 7 on tues but they both wanted to play.
