bromley cuemasters 5-2 coney cues.
so glad we only have one more match to play this season on that table, probably cost our opponents a frame or two tonight in fairness and it really is unplayable. that said glad with the win considering we only had 5 players. real shame the coney are folding, a gud bunch who have been a credit to the league for many seasons.

Better team won tonight, no question. Very nice bunch of guys the cuemasters and if they can ever sort out their staffing issues then they will present a real challenge to the top 3.

[img]if you think the table is that bad then maybe you or some of your players should come down before the game and maybe level it up and then you might stop bicthing about it!!!!!!!!!!!
or even better find somewhere else to play i dont think the club will miss the money you dont spend over the bar!!!!!! |

MMMMEEEEOOOWWWW SCRATCH MY BACK. QUAKING!. dont think leveling the table will stop the unpredictable cushion bounce some how? but then surely if the table is moved for any event that is taken place it should be checked and levelled once it is returned? (when i worked in a pub that was the normal) evn tho we dont pay for our games(which we appreciate) i think other people who use the table(outside tuesdays) are entitled to play on a straight rolling table. as for the drinking issue, being that everyone drives or get up early i hardly think anyone can go to overboard on a tues eh! and yes the summer we will be playing down the elmer lodge after that who knows but i would miss having to put my chin on a table to eyeing up my pot allowing for numerous breaks on the way to hopefully potting a black in the middle pocket. it really is like golf

we lost 5 2 to the eagles,could have finished 4 3 but for an outragious bit of luck getting out of snooker in last frame,
feel sorry for the rack pack esp harry,the look on his face after watching the rocket play was not a happy man.
nevermind harry theres always next season

was a smashing game with the unpreds last night with a great atmosphere. evans produced the shot of the night and nearly brought the house down.
when rocket had 2 shots and then tries to play the first shot as a trick shot, the look on harry's face was priceless... i would suggest rocket has 999 on speed dial for the next time... |

Without not trying to sound too negative, I believe that we will now be relegated. We had 2 key players out last night, which didn't help our cause. But at the end of the day, had we had peformed better during the whole season, we would not be in this position now.
It is such a shame, because I love playing 1st Division, and I love the guys who play in it (I hope that doesn't sound too gay!)
We will be determined to bounce basck as soon as possible.
As for Rocket.......No comment!!!!

Rack Pack 3 - 4 Bloodhounds
This was a really important result for us last night. Every frame was tight and we could easily have won the last one but for an unfortunate in-off!!
It was quite surreal reffing the final game involving 'The Rocket'. He certainly keeps you on your toes. Did feel sorry for Harry though because that was not the time for a trick shot! You should have greater respect for your team and captain! (Jeez I sound like I should be on Oprah:bored

Harry,as you like playing in the 1st division so much,could you not consider joining the Eden. They're a nice bunch of quiet,unassuming gentlemen. I'm sure that they would welcome you ! Mark Bannister would be delighted as they wouldn't need to pinch any more of his players !!  |

Pat, you really must try and get a life. Your infactuation with the Eden is becoming a tad worrying. I think the only thing we can say about pinching players is we won't ever have the desire to look at tapping up your second rate bunch of choppers.....

Heard we went 3-1 up to lose the last three of the night. We let Adam ''Eden Till I Die'' Hewson win his first league game of the season to avoid Paul Maguire torturing him in the car-park. Our form these past six weeks has been awesome despite dropping the last three frames and the big positive was Scott Lansing's dream is still alive. All the pressure is on Daniel Evans & Hugh Telford to keep winning....

Given that the Coney may not have a team the RRP must have some hope.
In these circs do they:- a) stay up anyway.  get relegated and the 4th team in Div 2 get promoted or c) Have a play off with the 4th placed team.

The table has been a disgrace since Ted stopped looking after it. I don't think it's the responsibility of the team to level it or keep it in good nick, I think that's for the management to sort out. |

Last night was surreal in many ways . .
4 out of the 5 Division One fixtures were played no more than 20 yards apart last night . .
Rocket was superb last night . . One of my favourite pool moments of all time . . Playing the black whilst looking at someone in the crowd when your team needs every point to stay up is pure comedy . .
The entire light fitting falling out of the ceiling just after I put Graf in a frame winning snooker was bizarre to say the least . .
Ollie getting Francois' hopes up only to break his heart coming out of a snooker dead weight to pot his last ball and land on the black was pretty average |

I didn't see the black as I wasn't on Eden duty last night, but I have certainly heard about it. We had the Prop on the hill last night for the first time in a long while and that's the positive we'll take from the defeat plus the fact we are back competing with the likes of you, Prop and Hot Shots.
Team wise, we were considering our options and the problem for a while had been squad numbers as there was no competition for places which made us all lazy. Thats resolved now so we'll stick around for a while longer. I have Liam 'Jimmy the Dish' Connors back in the summer from a season's layoff that gives us 10 regular players. |

Can't beleive what I've heard this morning about the Rocket's shot. Its shocking but I guess that's what makes him so special to this league...
Harry, you can beat the Hot Shots next week (well actually you have to!), Unpreds lose to the Bloodhounds. Its still there, its still in your hands so don't throw the towel in yet.
