last night must've been one of the best pool matches I've played in a long time. Especially when were 10-8 down and me and T.P were on and Terry goes ahead and wins, leaving me and all eyes on the last frame lol I was shitting a brick lol

Well done to The Warbank - an impressive win. Commiserations to The Eden, pipped to the League Division and KO cup titles.

Commiserations also to the CCHPs who threatened a complete embarrasment to begin with. While Danny was struggling with Paul in the 1st frame, frames 2, 3 and 4 were being dished by the Pikeys on the other table! I think by the time Danny won the frame that started first we were 4 0 down.

I was a bit concerned that for the next 2 sets we were asked to put our names on the board and they were able to pick who they played. Perhaps Bob can shed some light on that? Turned out to our advantage though as they picked Paul to play Graf in both.snigger

At 9 6 going into the final set, and needing 4 from 5 to force the playoff, we'd have been forgiven for dropping our heads... instead we dropped the deadweight (me :blushSmile, and won the set 4 1.

Having remained unbeaten at that point (and probably not missed a ball) Kyle was their obvious choice for the playoff, as Graf was for us. Kyle broke, started shelling peas and seemed to land perfectly on his 2nd to last ball to get position on a tricky last one. Somehow he failed to use all the angle he had and snookered himself. A brave attempt at a swerve didn't connect and Graf cleared up to bring the rafters down.

Thanks to Betty, Bob and all who came to watch. It was emotional.

The Unpredictables... unpredictable to the end and fcukin champions!

Must say well done to the unpredictables last night, it was a very good final and the game was played in good spirit.
There was some good pool played by both teams last night and Kyle really gave us the chance of winning as he was outstanding last night, but well done to the unpredictables for hanging in and putting in a great finish.

If you are after some 'top work'. Your pretend buddy Scott mentioned to me last night that they were looking for a fat 'retired by Alex' boy to polish their cues each week. I put in a good word for you as its apparent to us all that you have fuck all to do on a Tuesday night, other than of course to watch your over rated ex-players keep together the Cuemasters team.......

Thanks Knocky, and well done on claiming the prestigous double. From a Captain who has had to live with Prop, Eagles, Hot Shots, Drillers domination (apart from 1998 & 2003 Knockout Cups - have I told you about them?) this last decade - thats a fucking great effort by the boys....applause

Fran, moving words. Only cements the fact you want the Eden.

Love the only accurate part of the comment above.... being...'impressive'....

And lastly....

Didn't think I'd leave you out Scott?

Congratulations again on last night's performance. We can acknowledge when we've been beaten fair and sqaure and last night you did it. Though, I don't think it would have made good viewing. By the way the match attracted two spectators. Jason Cook, official adjudicator whom arrived 10 minutes after the start time! And Barrie Allen who turned up at 11pm. Tickermaster couldn't give 'em away and in the end just made a fire out of them in a small ashtray....

On the pool front, there was one B&D (by the real Boy Wonder) in 17 frames. Overall the match lacked any sustained quality and most frames were tactical, a bit on the messy side, and it came down to who really wanted to pot the last 2 or 3 balls to nick a point.

It was a well deserved victory by Scott's boys and it was thoroughly deserved as on the night you were the better side. applause

I have already offered my services to Scott but he declined. Do you need a caddy Alex? Perhaps I could help you get above 50% in div 9?
