last nites meetin woz held 2rectify a situation wat arose wat woz forcin players 2change venues 2accomodate a barred player,the outcum woz 2remove any player from competions they cannot play at if barred from the venues wat hold them..makes perfect sense as a 15 to 1 majority agreed...shame things ad got so out ov hand n any comp wil b slightly devalued without sum1 ov rods talent in them...but fairs fair i beleave the meetin ad the fairest outcum in the circumstances... |

I think whats done is done and dusted....life is life.....the league have to make some tough decisions sometimes...thatsw why their there which we should all respect that and i need a egm because rieleys don't do strongbow anymore...just the allsoran old english cider which is tasty but hasn't got the whack...and Kermy the legend that you are..I would probably beat you too....JP |

I understand he will have his supporters, and fan base. He is sublime to watch play the game but at what & who's expense will it continue, he has lost the respect of a large number of players by his actions off the table. His fan base has deminished as a consequence of not just the recent issue but bans imposed in the past. Its disappointing for the league members to be called to an EGM to talk about & cast a vote condeming someone who has been at the top of pool in Croydon for the last decade. The thing is this has overshadowed his undeniable talent & eye for the game regardless of whether he is guilty or not.
I'm embarrassed for him, & ultimately this latest episode is what most of us will remember him for. The league committee will no doubt decide in time if he has a future in Croydon pool & they are slowly reducing his options to play in the league.

i fink sum people may no DER queens english but use txt slang ....tally bally ho wat wat wat, long live the Queen n er splendid language.....i think sum people should learn how 2play pool rather than try n b clever dickies..n also others if the hall ov fame woz updated could count trophies n c whos been at the top ov croydon pool maybe not so much recent years coz ov those lovely rileys people...ban gets lifted n wins the rankins straight away,says it all really.... |

i would indeed agree u have won alot more than anyone and without doudt a big name in" croydon"but your are a big fish in a very small pond, slef praise is very often overrated, also i think it helps being captain cos u get to "hand pick" the weeker players from week to week , just a thought |

mark 2 win the rankins again i could ov played 5th n ada bye but moved position thinkin its not the way 2 win...i fear no 1 av no need 2 hand pick opponants ,made last 32 in the country in champion ov the champions n av came 3rd in lowen sport national 9ball comp n also ad oppotunity 2 play 4 england at 9ball so aint justa croydon boy..but cant b arsed wit pool n all the time it eats up..i stil ava beer n a game in croydon which can b a chore at times as it is, let alone playin all over the shop...u really think i need 2 hand pick my opponants tis quiet a ludicrus statement,any1 who nos me nos i play better wen under pressure so playin so called weaker players is not beneficial 2my chances....callin croydon a very small pond is pretty insultin 2 every1 in our league me thinks |

It must certainly was not a insult to anyone in the league,which I've played in for maybe 8 years now, I am mearly pointing out that they is a big wide world outside of Croydon pool, and I find it rather funny how people cone on here and rant how good they are after winning certain things in Croydon, winning the ranking is cleary a tough thing to do no doubt,win a region 7 tour or a hearts tour and then by all means come on hear and tell us all how great u are, I love playing in this leauge it's well run and on the whole the people are great , but why people choose to come on here and tell us what they have won baffles me....... Just a thought |

only mention anyfin 2correct people wen they make false statesments regarding other peoples dominance or croydon bein sucha small pond...did hot shots not win the nationals,did graham thompson not becum world n european over 50s champ 4englands team..n look at the class players we av n av ad in our league so calling us a small pond is very much an insult...clearly wer not the best in the land but we can all play a bit..im not tryin 2 boast just tryin 2 answer ur insult 2myself n our league..hand pickin players how ridiculas n our small pond can mix it anywhere on our day.. |

Why on earth would I insult a leauge that I have played in for years, indeed they is and had been some class acts playing in the leauge, but the point I'm tying to make is that the likes of rod, shaggy, eddie, Hugh, pope mev to name but I few , I don't ever recall any of the above using this Site to remind of what they have won or indeed how good they are, why such a good player as yourslef finds the need to remind us of what u have indeed won, only u know |
