na we'll bash them up at our place in the postponed game.
and if they claimed a 10-0, then we'll do exactly that back to them. |

if you look at the rules, rule 14 states that NO GAME can be postponed...
"14. Under no circumstances can any Team Match/Fixture be subject to Postponement other than if 2 teams from a shared 1 table venue are
drawn at home in the K/O Cup so as not to surrender home advantage. The re-arranged fixture date must be played within 2 weeks of
the original fixture date."
even tho we have postponed it, as is the sporting thing to do (even tho the excuse of not having a driver in the entire team is a bit poor...), surely this coming Tuesday is 2 weeks from the original fixture, so will a walk over be claimed? (note: no contact from waddon at all about rescheduling the game..)
If i've missed something or have got my facts wrong someone please let me know. otherwise if we haven't heard anything by Tuesday we'll have 10-0 thanks.

We had 7 players ready to make the visit to the Waddon. As the game got postponed, we didn't travel. They got a 'makeshift' team together, didnt tell us and have now claimed a walkover against us, which unfortunately for the remainder of the teams we have to play, might mean us not being able to fulfill our obligations as we were unable to make an earlier fixture in the season.

if this is the case then you should of not had to travel all the way to the waddon and you should be rewarded with the walkover win sorry cooky but common sense must prevail mark pantony going round throwing his weight around because he's on the commitee ludicrous

League constitution rules are in place for reasons to stop this happening and as doggy has said a great show of sportsmanship by them three games this season they have postponed even though some excuses are less rigid than others so I would like to show appreciation doggy and his team

Yes just to confirm:
The walkover STANDS. Even though Martin Pantony messed about with whether the match was on or off etc, they claimed a walkover because beechtree didn't turn up as beechtree couldn't get hold of Martin to confirm. Just because Martin is on the commitee he seems to be able to think he is above the rules.
I think we can expect sparks to fly at the AGM next Thursday.
This surely clears the way for the Flying machine to claim a walkover aswell.
Beechtree failed to mention a certain missed phone call from Martin. That puts paid to that. Table now reads:
Eden 85
Maple 80
Oakies 78
Wizzards 75 +1
Dukes 70
Folly 68
Flying machine 66+1
Loyalists 65
Seamen 53
Beechtree 50
If flying machine claim their game which I am fairly sure they are in their right to do so they will be 3rd by one point and the excuse of not having drivers to get to a venue well speaks for itself. Now Beechtree have had 2 walkover claimed against them will they be expelled from the rest of season I don't want this to happen but rules are rules and we all are sticklers for rules. What happens then do the rest of the teams get and average score vs beechtree or a 10-0. Very interesting but truely a joke.

Correctly so there was a missed call from Martin on Sat 22/8 but no message. Couldn't get hold of him from then on to confirm whether the call was to confirm postponement or the match was to be played. Have received a email from Mark to confirm that no other punishment will be administered to the beechtree in these circumstances. I'm sure the question of so called voicemail messages will be raised at the AGM.

when did beechtree have their 1st walkover then?
and if we did have a walkover 10-0 how would that put us 3rd by one point.

IF the facts as stated by the Outlaw are correct then this is a disgrace. It's a shame because this could potentialy mar what has been a very interesting division this season. |

if the waddon had earlier in the week said they may not be able to make the match, one single attempt at a phone call to confirm it was on is a bit rubbish. At least try ringing again or leave a messege?

what an absolute fuk1n liberty...
Beechtree had the decency to re arrange the match for them and they go and claim a walkover....
Just shows what wankkers they are...
I'm urging the flying machine to claim a 10 0 walkover now, they are well within there right, they don't have to postpone if they don't want to.....
WADDON WIZARDS you are a fuk1n disgrace to the pool league
And martin patony a committee member? The guy don't even know the fuk1n rules of the game what a joke

We were unable to make the Folly away at Faz mentions, due to numbers shortage, but unfortunatley it was only on the night, and Andy, the Folly sec was phoned and advised we'd be unable to make that one, so correctly a walkover win was received by them.
Luckily as our sec Jonesy has stated above, Mark Halsey has confirmed we'll be able to play out the rest of the season. I shall be turning up at the AGM to raise this under Any Other Business in the hope of getting this match played and turning over the walkover against us.

This all sounds like an absolute farce!!!! I would vote for this match to be rescheduled at the very least. Claiming the 10-0 has effectively relegated the Beechtree which is very harsh.
I would add that we (The Folly) did claim a walkover against the Beechtree earlier in the season as we got a call at 8:15pm on the night of the match to say they weren't going to be able to make it. In these circumstances I felt claiming the walkover was more acceptable. |

After the disgrace that waddon wizards have pulled I reccommend that they should change there name
Here are my top 5
1...The waddon desperados
2...The waddon wankkers
3...The waddon bottle jobs
4...The waddon walkover
5... The waddon I'm a commitee member and don't even know the rules

See that is an acceptable walkover win.
On the league sheet 2nd page this week it states that the result must be in by the 29th September. What happens if it is not in? Surely it cannot be VOID as they were the ones who postponed on us, under what has already been stated as a poor excuse, and have made no attempt to reshedule it .
