I think I got a bite ... And it's a big one
The table is slow but it is straight. I dont think its a massive advantage, but is obvioulsy a little purely by playing in a place you are not used to. Its certainly no advantage for me, and most aggresive players will tend to prefer to play on a fast table than a slow one. When all said and done a wrong shot is a wrong shot no matter what the table is like,
In addition its a occupational hazard of playing in a proper pub, and not a pub or club thats target group is pool players. When all said and done numerous regulars who cant hold a stick will be playing on the table for a laugh after a few sherberts and any low wearing cloth would be ripped to shreds in five minutes.
Playing in a nice pub with a lovely table is something that is rarer than rocking horse sh1t. Certainly not seen one in Croydon for years.
House!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you are finding that you are playing on crap tables most away matches then you should count yourself lucky- it means that your table is better than the majority.
As happy as a single man living above a chip shop
