Pond and Hounds keep clawing out the results and the early season form from both these sides may have left them with too much to do?
Going to be a good couple of months pool in Div 1 thats for sure.
Now he says we're not going to stay up!! Which one is it, Alex??? D
My intial post was before the Slates v Legion result came in!!
I think you are better equipped than a few of the other teams to beat the drop. Better equipped more so mentally as you've been there and importantly you survived. Legion & Pond in the past have got themselves into this position and not got out of it. Slates & Jolly aren't winning games reguarly and if it carries on that will, in the end, open the door for the current bottom 3. Next week is huge for the Pond & Legion as they meet.
I still reckon it will come down to the last week. Prop v Eagles in the final week. Sick. Could be a title decider. Relegation - I reckon two will all ready be down come the last game, and there will be as many as three teams in the hunt for the other drop zone position.
But Teach, I still think you'll stay up. But then, it down to me fella!

It is refreshing for a change to see such an open title race and that coupled with the fact that the bottom will be as dramatic as ever makes the end to this season particularly interesting.
I think the only difference this season is that you do not have as many changes in positions from week to week with no bonus points. Wheras before you might make 5 points up on another team around you with the current format that is more like 2 or 3. With that in mind the teams in the bottom 3 will not want to be more than 6 points from safety come the final 3 weeks to have a chance of staying up. It is very tight at the bottom and i would say the Jolly V the legion in the final week will be a decider for both sides as to who gets the drop and potentially the Bloodhounds would have to beat their neighbours in the final week to stay up in another interesting final fixture. Whilst the Pond might need to get a result against a Cuemasters side which at full strength is tough to do. I will go with the following as the final table:
Eagles
Prop
Hot Shots
Patriots
Underpedicts
Cue Masters
Eden
Slates
Bloodhounds
Jolly
Legion
Pond q's
You have to love Berty's occasional entrance onto the site and his comments. He does get the odd prediction right. Of course, you have to say pool retirement is clearly showing signs of his time out of the game, aka prediction: Cuemasters to finish above the Eden? Jog on son.
Not once have I got my best 5 out this season and we are still mid-table!
And change that Location: Coney Poo and Poo - sounds better.

important we got our 2 points back that we were deducted for a missing results card! the tables very tight at the top and the bottom and the way results have gone in previous weeks its all very open at both the top and the bottom. the legion, the pond the jolly and the hounds at full strength can take points off anyone in the division so certainly neither us,the eden or slates are by any means safe from the drop zone . at the top its just as interesting with the patriots missing a golden chance this week to take outright top spot! it will prob go to wire but i take the eagles to just pip the prop with hot shots taking 3rd!. at the bottom its harder to call the legion and pond need to start picking up results fast, and with the jolly and the hounds renowed for grinding out results i can see them staying up with maybe the slates getting drawn into the bottom 3.
