the patriots 5-5 bromley cuemasters
very enjoyable match as always, we had a great chance to go 4-1 at the break but blew out so it was 3-2 to us and then a remarkable sequence of 4 consecutive break n dishes (2 by either team) and a fine double on the last salvaged a deserved draw for the pats.

we may need a bigger boat..! |

Legion 5-5 Farley Eden
A 3 hour 25 minute marathon at Suzy's last night, match finishing at 5 minutes short of Wednesday morning. Not one open frame of note, and every frame was tatically played. We lost the opening set 3-2 and reclaimed the 2nd set by the same margin. Overall, and on reflection of the 2nd set chances we had we could have edged it 6-4, but no doubt the Legion will feel they also left a few frames out there.
Some interesting results last night and as Sly mentioned above a real shock scoreline wise on the table next to us. Not the birthday present Sir Tony Nuttman would have wanted to wake up to this morning. Pond also pulled out a draw against league leaders, the Prop.

We started at 8.30 and were out the door by 10. And they say female players are slow . . .

Eagles were poor last night, very poor.
No excuses, full side out.
Shaggy was awesome in winning our only two frames, and that was the only positive to take from it (Eagle wise)
Bloodhounds took full advantage. Adam B&D superbly, and they took thier chances well. Fully deserved the 8-2.
Very bad day at the office for us though. |

Maybe its been coming Spud. Loosing Danny, who was the best player in the league last season, and Kyle now missing most weeks must take its toll eventually.
Bloodhounds had the bit between their teeth last night and the Eagles looked a bit flat. There are no mug teams in Division 1 and I think it just goes to show if you get out of the traps early and nick a few what can happen with a bit of momentum. |

It was a fantastic win for the Bloodhounds!
For the second week in a row we had our best 5 starting, and that is absolutely key for a team like ours! Super performances by Adam, Nelio and Darren (you could do nothing about Shaggy's B/D), and credit to Scott who was given one chance by Kyle and took it. I played ok, and got wins against Hughie and Esgrove, but it was about taking our chances and we did that!!
When our players show this kind of commitment, they are a fun team to play for! Let's now keep it going!! |

Pond Q's 5 The Propeller 5 A good night with our very friendly co-tenants . I think that they were a bit disappointed with the final score but, overall, taking the other leading team's performances into account,it wasn't a terrible outcome for them . I was delighted with our fighting spirit . If we can continue in a similar vein for the remainder of the season,we should be ok !! We must improve our results against the lesser teams(next weeks opponents being a perfect example). |

our match was very poor/slow - started off by me & clive, he just loves a slow tactical drawn out affair & i am next to useless at it
so 1-0 to them & not the start we needed - all the other frames were pretty much the same & i would guess 5-5 was about right although i would think they'd be the happier of the 2
now onto next week ag Pat & his merry men who had a great result last night
But a massive result of the season & maybe of the last few years
8-2 to the hounds ag the ego's.....brilliant result fellas, unbelievable
HOW LONG LEFT ? |

Its called 'bread & butter' pool Patrick. The odd draw here and there against the top sides means nowt unless you pick up results in the your bread and butter matches. Its what the Coney were good at, they could not beat the top sides for toffees but produced the results against mid table and bottom sides which kept them in the top flight. Its what us, the Unpreds and Cuemasters have done for years.
Looking forward to next week. Gives us a chance to rest our top players. |

Just noticed on the fixtures that its a top of table clash next Tuesday night. Propeller v Hot Shots. 2 weeks after that Eagles v Propeller. Think its fair to predict the destiny of this years Div 1 title could be decided by mid February..... |

What you mean is that you think the Prop will have it wrapped up by then. |
