Number 1 ranked player 2004-05, Div 1 singles winner 2004-05, Singles runner up 2004-05...........what happened to him?

Well, he got slated by many of those who I guess to this day still fear him because he played 'down the order'.

He retreated from the limelight to the depths of Division 6 for half a season and then disappeared.....

Now he is back. Back at the Farley, back at the Threatre of Dreams, Croydon's 'real' best pool venue and he can now be unveiled in EDEN colours, drapped in EDEN colours and in the pending week soon be blooded by the EDEN. Yep we cut hands and shake on it at the Eden. Sick eh?

Fieldsy has returned. Rebranding was needed and that ultimately beat off competition from other teams and Fieldsy is now OFFICIALLY back in Division 1, at the Eden and lets face it - where he belongs......

Whoo... Now who would have ever put money on that... I can say i was party to a meeting in The Farley on Sunday 13th. January when, i was sure Jacko, Ghrame Tompson and Fieldsy had almost clinched a deal for Fieldsy to sign for The Patriots...

I don't mean to pick holes but he didn't win the Divisional Singles in 2004/2005 . . #1 Ranked Players Yes . . Singles Runner-Up Yes . . Not the Divisional Singles however . .

. . Myself, Shaggy & Steve played a three-way round robin for Runner-Up as Cliff won it that year . . If I remember rightly we were all so embarrassed at playing for the runner-up spot we were doing our best to lose, ended up beating each other three times over and gave up in the end . .

I can't believe that Steve has been naive enough to be talked into joining the Eden for their relegation dogfight. Perhaps he has enjoyed his obscurity so much that he has decided to prolong it. He really has proved himself to be a Green Field Site !!

Dont remember me ever telling you that Shaggy. Fieldsy has been drinking in The Farley for some months. Old jungle drums not beating loud enough. Anyway you leave me to run The Farley as i see fit and, i will promise not to interfere in how you do your job.

We've only ever been relegated on alphabetical order!! How unfair is that ? I am certain that we will regain our place at the top table next winter. If that is at the expense of the Eden luvvies,then so be it !!
