I like the Scotch format but then Billy and I have similar playing styles so it suits us well, as we tend to go for the same shots anyway. Ok, maybe it's just a shared brain-cell but it's been ok so far.
I know people have said it on here before but it does prevent the whole puppet-master thing, although I must admit I've never played any doubles pairing who've been like that, I can see the logic in the comment.
The only scary bit of Scotch Doubles I see is when your partner breaks and pots, then has to nominate for the shot you then have to take. Having said that, we've been ok up to now but I can see other pairings with differing playing styles potentially coming unstuck with that one.

Yes maybe you should be allowed to confer before choosing which colour after potting a ball off the break.

When is the deadline for round 2 matches?
