Suzy's Floozies 2 - Goodfellas 5

It's a shame the Floozies only had 4 players last night, would have been better to play their full strength team. (cue comment from Golden on ladies playing pool etc). Nice for us to play on our home table for the first time this season, although we were technically 'away' last night.

Other result we heard last night:

The Valley 0 - Red Deer Eagles 7
From Kyles account, the Valley sound like a nice bunch, although new to the league and seeing a break and dish (by Golden) was a something of a shock.

Yep thats about right. Really nice bunch of people and other than one player (poossibly) this is the first time any of them have played in a league....

Felt a bit for them last night because with Jake now returning we have 8 people who all want to play, and Nutts who doesnt really. With this in mind, banter aside, we all played to win.

Nonetheless I am sure they will get better results as the season goes along. A few of there players were so nervous I am sure didnt show their best.

We stayed til closing and they were alll lining up to play so if keeness is anything to go by they will do fine, and good luck to them all.

Well played Goodfellas.

Disappointing and frustrating that we could only get 4 players to a home game last night. I know everyone who wasn't there had good reasons but we've struggled for numbers since losing 3 regular players just before the season started. :swear:

If any girls are interested in becoming Floozies now would be a good time!!!

Bloodhounds 5 - 2 Penge Con Club 'A'.

Though I think we should be awarded the win as there was no food served.

well we thought that it says that dont have to do food on a league cup match. If there was any problems why did'nt you say something to the boss of the pub?!!

I thought it is in the consitution (But I may be wrong), that food is supplied to the away teams for League & League Cup matches, but not Knockout as it could only be 4 games.

Anyway it is sportmanship to supply food, and the only person that saves money is the landlord and not the team. But he does still get the extra drinks bought.

It is also not up to the away team to ask for food.

I think you mean home teams, but yes it has always been the done thing to provide food for league and league cups because they are guaranteed to go the full distance. Cups matches can be 4-0 in 20 minutes so that has never been necessary although some venues provide it anyway.
