The forms for the 2008/2009 Winter season are floating about amongst the secretaries so now is the time to spill the beans on any potential transfers or at least get the rumour mill going ;)

Danny Evans and Donna Evans to The Rack Pack. . . . Play when they can.
Dont worry Mark, I shall post their signatures soon.
Mark Miller and Johnny Goldsmith to The Rack Pack (Ok, they dont realise yet)
Sean Halligan and Rod Altes to The Rack Pack (ditto, as above)
Andy Esgrove and Hugh Telford to The Rack Pack (ditto, as above, above)
We are looking a pretty strong team for the winter, huh?

Following confirmation last night that The Surrey 193's will not be entering a team for the fourthcoming winter season...
Looks like The Rack Pack have three more signings: Andy Telford, Lenny Telford and Karl Rous...
Should bring the squad up to about 20 now!

In what is undoubtedly the biggest transfer news for some time, my sources (Wiggy) tell me that
Morray Dolan, Rod Altes, Ian Chapman and
Andy Shaw have signed terms with
The Propeller . .

with Wayne & supposedly Leon back on board that makes the Prop very strong favourites for the 1st division.Good luck to them, watched Morray play last night poss the best player I have seen in ten years. Wiggy asked me to try and sign him two months ago. I replied," he won't want to play for a Croydon team" doh!

If thats correct, the backbone of the Hot Shots side has gone. I heard if the Hot Shots had a team then Rod would play for them regardless.
So who is going to be surplus to requirements at the Prop if they sign all 4 of the above, and Leon/Wayne are back full time?
Nuttmeg, who have you replaced Danny with? Big loss for the Ego's.

I've since heard that Rod thing is a bit of a jackanory and Cliff isn't playing next year and the likelyhood of Leon returning is less than Harold Shipman's Patients but even still they will have Wayne, Morray, Gary, Chapman, Shaw et al.
With the Hot Shots not being the same team of years gone by and with Kyle possibly not playing as he's going back to college, the coming season has been blown wide open . .

Macca in "Broken CAPS LOCK Button" Shocker!
It's Wiggy getting carried away bless him . . Even still, any two of those will still be over and above what the others in Division One have signed so it's setting it up for an interesting season . .

I must say well done to the Potterman for working on that signing!! There's now two more players who I have my eye on that I want to sign and then I feel we have a very strong squad for div.1 in the winter.
We have lost Chris Eden to the Unpredictables (it's official) so that's who I'm now looking to replace.

Good experienced signing that by the Hounds. Adam spent 9 seasons with the Eden, & is a great team man, good for morale. When the Prop came knocking he had to take a chance. Those chances were few there given the quality the Prop has in their sqaud and with the new signings this winter I am not surprised Adam made his mind up to get some permenant pool. Hounds have a good, solid & reliable player, who has bags of experience at league and interleague level & if played regularly will guarantee them a good return this season.

Having done so well to stay up last season, we felt that experience was the key to building on this. Adam certainly has the ability to win frames next season, and I agree that giving him a run of games is important.
We are also really optimistic for our other two major signings. One has experience of playing county pool up north, and the other has had a recent top-ten finish in the Div1 winter divisional singles!!

What the nell are you going on about Teach ?
Who could possibly be your new signings ?
Best be careful here because I am having a tough time watching my grammar.
Now Every Loving Interested Obsessive person of pool will wish to know.
Spill the beans mate because we kick off on Tuesday.
All the very best in your new season.

That message was actually quite amusing, Birdy!!!
However, when you posted last week, you said that you only wrote on this site occasionally, so two posts in less than a week is simply unacceptable and will not be responded to!! :chair:
P.S. - your grammar is fine, although my uncle is a little poorly! :bounce:

Yo Teach,
Yes I did say that, but since then I have discovered how amusing & addictive this site is. Furthermore I have learned why all the good players are not out and about playing anymore. They all seem to be on here playing a very different game.
Kindly give my best rgards & wishes to your uncle.
