So . . With the Summer's transfers, a slightly weakened Hot Shots team and the new format, there will be a good few teams who think they can win major honours this season . .

Pawleyne Arms - The defending champions make their first stop away to the Farley Loyalists . . A capable side but not capable of beating the likes of Kelly, Wildman, Porter & Co. surely?

Hot Shots - Without Halligan & Altes they're certainly not the same side that won the National Championship a while back but capable all the same . . If the likes of Nair, Brown and Chapman are regular they'll feature in the business end . . At home to the Penge Trades should see them safely through to Round Two . .

The Propeller - Last season's League & Cup Runners-Up will fancy their chances and have the passion to go all the way but with the loss of the Pope Sisters will they feature as well as last time round? 'Away' to the Pond Q's tonight . . I assure you Pat that you won't have any 5-5 to cry over tonight as they'll be safely back over to Table 2 in time for the Spring Rolls . .

Crouching Chicken Hidden Pikey - We'll fancy our chances with the likes of Pickett and the Pope Sisters on board but the big test will be to get over to the Langley in the first place! If we do get there it'll be all over rover no matter how ropey the table is . .

Farley Eden - With the return of Burn, Fieldsy's first game of the season and the likes Truey and Lansing in tow it'll be pretty straight forward for the Eden against the Waddon Wizards tonight . . If they playe their best five they're capable of another cup win . .

The Patriots - Not sure who The Oak are so they'll get rolled over tonight by the likes of Jacko, Gaters, The German and Richards . . They won the Winter KO Cup and are more than capable of making it Back-to-Back titles . .

Rack Pack - The Eagles Summer Team look to repeat their victory of 2006 and will do well with Teleford, Wiggy and Nuttman on board to play with solid players such as Chatty, Da Silverware . . However Rocket is mental and will be there so anything can happen!! They play Division Five opposition tonight so will be a formality . .

Oh yeah. . . Walk us through that one Evans. . . . .

Back on topic. . . .

A full strength Crouching team will be Very, very tough to beat. So they start favourites in my opinion.

It will make the Cup a lot more ineteresting and hard to call, and I can see the 1 man play off at 5-5 being used quite a bit.

That's what it's all about though

1-0 up, 2-1 up, 3-2 up, 4-3up, 5-4 after a play off - The Big Spuds pulled off a nice scap this evening. We both only had 4 each, we were missing 2 of our considered top players and expected a thrashing. However, with us realising they only had 4 also....we gave it a bash......happy days :elol::band::nerner::bow::omfg:

Small Potatoes had a cracking start tonight going 3-0 up. The Jolly then won the next 3 frames to equalise.

Frames were then tightly fought over with Mick winning the 9th frame bringing the Small Potatoes to 5-4. All eyes were then on Andy who pulled off a nice clearance to give us a 6-4 win.

Great frames played tonight, it could have gone either way but a very enjoyable evening and a great team to play, thanks guys

We fell over the line vs. The Loyalists after a play-off.
Valliant stuff from the Loyalists who I'm sure will feel they should have had it.

Definitley not cup winning form from us last night, but we'll take it.

Langley Park 3-6 Crouching Chicken

It looked a bit grim at 3-2 down but somehow got to the finish line first in what was a thoroughly enjoyable night in good company . .

. . the Langley have a couple of good players in the Hugget Brothers and on a decent table they could be quite handy.

Massive shock to hear of the Hot Shots going out . . Who turned up for them last night Jamie?

We had 8 of our team turn up on Monday night which was a shame as our opponents could only get 2 players but we though and we still had a good night.

Pond Q's 4 The Propeller 6 At 4-2 up we should have completed the battering but luck was on their side and they capitalised on it !! Still an enjoyable evening. It's very strange to see Swetts not eating, but then I realised it was Monday. I suppose that the Plate will have to do !! :movingon:

:wino: I need a drink to get through the working day

Walkover win was claimed, we got the phone call at 8.15 to say they only had 2 players and won't be showing up

Patrick, we'll join you in the Plate...

Waddon Wizards 5-5 Farley Eden
Play off going the way of the Wizards...

We scrapped out 5 players last night which in fairness should have been enough to have done the job.

The romance of the Cup....

You're right there Spud, it was a close match all the way through and I was hoping we were going to pull off a surprise win when we edged into the lead towards the end but it wasn't to be. Was an enjoyable night though. Good luck in the rest of your cup run. :thumb:

It looks like it will be the Knocked-out Cup for us!

A thousand curses !! Just when I thought that the Plate was ours, I get the news that the mighty Eden are also in it ! To finish as losing finalists is now the best that we can hope for !! Things can only get better !! :wall:

I am glad I dissapeared after my two frames. I'd have melted again if I had to play the play off.

Waddon 'B' 2 - 6 Bloodhounds

A solid win with the game actually taking place at home!! The Waddon are a decent
bunch of guys, but not a safety shot in sight!!

They've obviously not been learning from your game then golden!!:lol:

I only do it to wind people up . . Fudging is for people who can't pot and for those who prefer to torture their opponents ;)

Hopefully a few more suprises to come too. We had a fairly solid game all round on the night considering the table!
