Langley Sports 3 Folly 4

Dont know how this table gets such a bad press. Bit slow but seems better than many I've played on....new cloth as well.

Our run of form continues, just wish we could play those pesky Cuemasters again. Still waiting for your reply by the way Caveman.

Goodfella's 5 - 2 Elmer Lodgers.

Heard Elmer Cuemasters won 7-0 so unless they screw up big time next week (which i cannot see happening) then the title is pretty much theirs. :chair:

Yes ? the rumours are true, we did indeed win 7-0 last night. A great effort, because of the importance of the game to the overall result it was a fairly nervy affair, but we came through with a flawless result which really catapults us into pole position for the last game of the season! We put a lot into that game last night and have reaped the rewards, although fair play to the Better Halfs they certainly had the odd chance (ahem? thinking about my game specifically for instance which went down to the black ball!)

A fantastic performance from the Elmer boys? The highlight of the evening had to be Cavemans break dish which was a really great way to secure the momentum at 2-0 up to give us a 3-0 scoreline.

? Some 3 points clear now after our brethren swiped two points from the Goodfellas yesterday at Rileys ? all we?ve got to do now is play our game and surely we?ll be looking good! We?re not taking anything for granted though?

What a great result! Good luck everyone next week.

Let me be the first to congratulate you Jake. A 7nil against the better halfs at this stage of the season is something to be applauded.

We have accepted that we have to settle for second this season. I'm sure that next winter the two of us will be right there again and it will be interesting to see how it goes.

Just one more thing, do you want me to just take that ?50 straight off Jerry?

Cueball I'll pass your congratulations on to the team - you're a gent and a scholar :) :handshake:

It's made the last couple of months really exciting this 'rivalry' and I can't wait until Division III. We really aren't taking anything for granted though, if we go into the last game thinking we've won - it'll be asking for trouble!

You can take that 50 from jerry if you like, providing you have a scottish 100 pound note... I quite like the idea of collecting one of those after our game

... Shark, keep an eye out on the cue front mate, I'll probabally be asking for your expertise again in the next month or two

Only 'pretty much conceded' though.. we haven't yet given up hope that Ronnie O'Sullivan and a few others get bored playing in The Crucible and head down to Croydon to join the Ruskin House team for the last game of the season.
Failing that, admittedly, we will have to make do with 2nd, in which case well done Cuemasters, it's been a pleasure doing battle.
