I was looking at the paperwork that came through for the Summer League and there looks to be enough potential late entries to form another division? Just wondered how many of these have actually sent their money in.

There are some very strange names amongst the new teams in the summer league . From a biological point of view,it is physically impossible for a chicken to crouch as it doesn't have knees !! (A simple validation of this statement is possible by the inspection of a drumstick ). I wonder what idiot could have come up with such a misleading name !!:lol::lol:

5 FULL DIVISIONS!
I can see how World Rules and the Ten Frame Format have ruined the league . . What a disgrace!!

Early days young Evans, early days !! By reducing the overall size of teams to five a side, you have created the potential for double the number of teams using the same amount of players !! That certainly isn't rocket science !! Nobody has yet tried to play 11 games within the 3 and 3/4 hour timescale. We would like to keep the league on just a Tuesday night. Nobody wants to encroach into Wednesday morning !! It will be very interesting to see how the experiment develops. I personally remain unconvinced of its total merits !! :bite:

We trialled it last night Pondlife. Started at 8.15, First Match over at 9.30, bit of food, watch a bit of football. Played the second match over at 10.40 give or take.
Easy.

Good point, well made Shaggy.
And that was 14 frames. . . Not the 10 that will be trialed in the summer.

Did the Eagles do well last night by any chance? There's flocks of them in here.

Someone has to keep the website ticking over now that we've had a power outage.

We prefer to concentrate on getting flocks of players to our matches ;)
I trust you will have 7 for our match next week?

Seriously I think Gretal is out as am I, so that would be 7.
Saxton is playing one and officially unbeatable so put your best 6 from 2 onwards. Can't beat a bit of free advice.

We dont tend to change our team order very often if ever...... Nonetheless I am sure Tony will have some serious thinking to do when given that nugget of information.

Just a quick update .... 49 teams had been accepted on closing date ... since then we have had a further 3 teams submit applications & fees and have had 4 further phone calls from different teams enquiring to availability. There is a further window until Thursday 1st May so I would say at this time that it is 80% probable that a sixth division will be re-introduced for this summer.

Just a further update to confirm that there will be a definate 6th Division this season due to 55 teams that have now entered. This will include BYE's being entered into Div.2,3,4,5,6. Any further teams that do enter between now and the May 1st will eliminate the BYE's starting from Div.2

Would expect so. We were shuffled up to the last position in Div 4. I would imagine with byes going in we'll be back down to 5.

Would it not be possible to bring in a 7th division for the Floozies ?
